I will be thankful and grateful for this new day and every new day from the first waking breath I take, to the last breath before I sleep.
I will use the energy and life God has given me today to improve my life and my surroundings.
I will focus on important things that I have direct control over and not squander my energy and time on things I have little or no control over.
I will not chase unproductive things and actions that will not allow me to make a direct contribution to improving my immediate surroundings, improving the lives of those close to me, or improving myself.
I will not lose hope in the grace of God or the abilities that he has given me. I will live my life respecting God and others, and showing my respect with my actions, avoiding things that would disrespect and dishonor him and his ways.
I do have a choice in my actions. I will choose to serve God because ultimately that is the best way to serve myself.
Each day, doing right accomplishes two things... I avoid negative results and I accumulate the benefits over time of right living compounded daily.
Today is a new day.
