Today I Will

H. Kris Thomas
Today I will remember graciousness and gratitude.
My worries will go nameless.
My concerns will remain concerns.
I will make of them
Nothing more.

I will remember that tomorrow is what's to come.
I will cherish this moment
As it is all that I possess.

I will remember that my belongings are not my own
Because I cannot take them with me when my body dies.
I recognize that I am an eternal being
Who was created in Love
And is cared for by Love.
Immeasurable.
Eternal.

Today, I desire to see the blessed Light
In everything living.
I will care for that Light in my heart.
And know that Love resides in all
Even that which I fail to understand as Good and Just.
