There was a rise in sales today as my wife bought out most of the discount stores in an effort to spoil our daughter on her birthday. That was good news for the economy. Of course the one thing I did say was I really didn't want our little girl having baby dolls when we live in a town that thinks there is no life beyond middle school. You need to get pregnant and the women do everything. All I can say is heaven help the guy in our daughter's life when we are old enough to let her date. Doesn't every parent want to see their children do better than what they did? We do, and we want to see her in college before she gets married or gets pregnant. Let's not talk about that though because she still has 24 years before she even dates. She is almost 6 now.
I do have some sports news. While my wife was buying out the stores she bought a ball for our three year old. He is now running around holding it and I am pretty sure he made a touch down or scored because he is doing that running dance after football players make a touchdown. We keep cheering him on but I refuse to wear a cheerleading outfit and shake pom poms. My wife probably has a website where she is putting ridiculous pictures of me. People do look at me funny sometimes so I would have to say that would explain it. The olive drab green pajamas were a gift as was the orange striped tent looking shirt. Just in case anyone saw those pictures.
For advertisements you might want to check your mail for flyers because if my wife went shopping there were either sales, she had coupons, or she was just through putting it off.
The weather today is frigid. Someone needs to turn the heat up. Our daughter keeps asking how the sun can be so bright and how the weather can still be so cold. I will enjoy answering this question for her about the tilt of the earth and distance from the sun as we explore the internet for pictures and simple explanations.
Oh this might get people moving. Gas is down to $2.39 here. That's a bargain compared to almost $5 last month. Think the price should be lower though but of course OPEC is trying to be greedy. There should be limits. Remember when the gas was 89 cents? We thought $1 was too much for gas. That was only in the 90's. Talk about inflation!
