"Today's" Change to "Rafael's" Started Back in Hollywood, California

Rafael Martinez had a dream to move from Cuba to the United States and open a successful business. At first it was only a dream. After graduating from Marinelo Cosmetology in Hollywood California in 1971 he had ten years of experience in New York City and twelve years on Wilshire Blvd in Los Angeles as one of the best in his field. This enabled him to move to Florida and re-open Today's Hair & Nail's of Boynton Beach now re-named Rafael's hair & Nails. Then his dream became real.
On my first visit to the salon I felt at home. Greeted at the door by the shampoo girl, then promptly asked if I would like to drink water, coffee or tea, I was seated.
My hair was cut and highlighted by Martha Melendez, a Stylist for twelve years, having graduated from Boca Beauty Academy right here in Palm Beach County, Martha though least experienced, was one of the most talented. She has been at Rafael's for nine years and I can attest to the fact my hair has never looked better. As my hair was drying I watched her in action, Martha is unreal at Cuts, Blow-Drys, Colors, Hi-lites and more.
Manicurist, Shannon Smith has been with Rafael since the beginning, twelve years to be exact and she also does waxing.
The other friendly creative artists are Diana Hodges who has seventeen years experience at this location and trained at Romar Beauty Academy in Boynton Beach. She has had over thirty years experience doing Perms, Cuts, Colors, and Hi-lites. In fact Diana grew up in a family of Hair Stylists, Her Grandmother owned Salons, it is in this expert's blood.
Then there is Linda who has been a creative Stylist for over thirty years and worked in New Jersey for twenty years. Linda states she is very happy at Rafael's.
I can honestly say the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable to say the least. I really felt at home, but at the same time had the best most professional treatment I ever had. I am glad I found and tried Rafael's. I had a relaxing time and I made some new friends at the same time.
