I'll bet that if you ask almost any child around you if they know who Tigger is, you will quickly hear a resounding YES! If you have a toddler in your home then the odds are that you have seen at least one commercial for the new Turbo Tail Tigger on television. This new Tigger toy has a new spin on previous boucing Tigger toys. Turbo Tail Tigger has a cute, coiled tail that he bounces on when your toddler squeezes his hand. Turbo Tail Tigger will also sing songs and will ask the children to sing along with him. Turbo Tail Tigger is for ages 18 months and up. He requires four "AA" sized batteries and retails for $25. Making Turbo Tail Tigger a great toddler gift idea for under $50. Turbo Tail Tigger will probably be making an appearance under my very own Christmas tree this year also.
Another great toddler gift idea for under $50 is the Bounce & Spin Zebra from Fisher Price. This is a cute alternative to the ride-on toys when you don't have the riding space in your home for them. The Bounce & Spin Zebra reminds me of those old playground animals on springs that kids would ride and bounce on while pretending to be cowboys or animal tamers. It has a wide base for stability and has several activities on the easy-grip handlebar. This cute toy bounces, spins, plays music and has blinking lights for your toddler's enjoyment. The Bounce & Sping Zebra requires three "AAA" sized batteries. It is for ages 18-36 months and holds up to 43lbs. The Bounce & Spin Zebra retails for $45.
The next toddler gift idea under $50 is one that my toddler greatly enjoys. It's the Spin N' Pop Arcade from Playskool. This is a very colorful and attractive activity table that reminds me of a pinball machine. It comes with five colorful balls that roll, spin and pop all over the table and even off of it sometimes. Much to the excitement of your toddler, of course. The Spin N'Pop Arcade plays delightfully exciting music to along with all the spinning and popping. This great toy is for ages 9 months and up, requires three "C" sized batteries and retails for $24.99. My toddler is 20 months old, received the Spin N' Pop Arcade as a gift last Christmas and STILL plays with it on a daily basis. It was the best gift we've purchased for her yet!
The Busy Ball Popper is another great toddler gift idea from playskool. With this toy you receive five colorful balls that roll down a ramp into a hole on one side only to quickly pop back out on the opposite side. Then it rolls back down the ramp to do it again. All the while it plays music and silly sounds. The Busy Ball Popper has even won several awards. One being the American Baby Best Toy award. This toy is for ages 9 months & up, requires four "D" sized batteries and retails for $19.99. We have this toy also and it is very entertaining to a young toddler but now that my toddler is closer to two years old she doesn't seen as interested in it. So it may be better for the older babies/younger toddlers age group.
Next is the Step Start Walk 'N Ride from Playskool. This toy turns into two different toys. First it is a nice sturdy walker to help assist your child in learning how to walk. The second toy is a ride-on toy for your toddler to enjoy scooting around the house on. There is a built in locking mechanism that only mom or dad can activate. This is a nice safety feature especially if you have a curious toddler or older children in the hosue. With either play mode that the Step Start Walk 'N Ride is in there are lots of activities on it for your toddler to enjoy. The Step Start Walk 'N Ride is for ages 9-36 months and reatils for $19.99
The last toddler gift idea for under $50 that I want to present to you is one that I know will be on Santa's Christmas list for my toddler this year. It's the Playskool Weebalot Castle. Everyone should know what a Weeble is, as I'm sure most of you had them when you were a child. Kids love these little roly-poly people that have been around for many many years. The Weeblalot Castle is the newest Weebles toy to inspire your toddler's imagination. This play-set has many fun things for the Weebles to do. Your toddler can send the Weebles on a boat ride in the revolving moat, slide down a slide or just explore secret passages. The Weebalot Castle comes with the castle, 4 Weebles, boat, bed, chair, round table, throne, staircase, drawbridge ramp, lookout turret, story board book and instructions. That's a whole lot of fun just waiting to happen! The Weebalot Castle is for ages 18 months and up, requires three "C" batteries and retails for $39.99.
These are just a small sampling of the fantastic toddler toys on the market for under $50. I'll bet that you can find many more out there that would interest your toddler. I like to look for toys that will grow with my toddler. Something that can potentially provide long term enjoyment instead of just being a short term novelty. There's nothing worse on the day after Christmas then realizing a toy isn't getting played with even though you spent so much time trying to pick out just the right gift for your child. I hope these ideas will help make your shopping less stressful. Happy Shopping!
