Sing songs throughout the day like the name song, but do it in the version like the bingo song. If your toddlers name was Brian just sing it like B-R-I-A-N. These are great toddler learning activities that are very productive, and it is something that both of you can participate in together. Another great song is the alphabet song; include siblings, friends and family members to join in.
Point out letters everywhere you go. Try and start at the beginning of the alphabet look for billboards and signs while you are driving or on the bus. This will turn into a great, fun activity that your little one will be happy to participate in.
Use flash cards with your toddler learning activities. These can be found at most kid stores and outlet stores. If there are none available or money is tight you can make your own with poster board just cut them out in even 4 by 4 sections. Write the letters of the alphabet on them, on one side do lower case and on the other do upper case. Practice as much as your toddler will let you, but try not to overwhelm him or he will no longer want to do it. The only way that all of these will work is with repetition and patience. Results will not be right away, but after awhile you will start to see steady improvements. Before long your child will now the alphabet and be ready for kindergarten or preschool.
