Toddlers, What More Needs to Be Said?

Aaron Mitcham
Motherhood can be a difficult time filled with wonderful moments and some not so wonderful moments. I am a mother of two boys. They are age five, and two and nine months. My day as you can imagine are filled with noise, running, laughter, and plenty of fighting. Toddlers in and of themselves can bring even the toughest of foes to their knees in tears.

I experienced the wonderment of toddlerdom today as a matter of fact. My husband and I were working on a job and he was a few doors down at this shopping center. I was at the computer and my toddler decided he wanted daddy. I told him no and looked back at my computer. Before I knew it I heard the bell chime to the front door and out he went. The lady who owns the store ran out to try to catch him. This of course was a mistake because he is incredibly shy and doesn't like strangers. The faster she ran, the faster and more frantically he ran. A car pulled into the parking lot and here we are two grown adults chasing this short legged child and still couldn't catch him. He finally stopped at the door he was wanting to go in and said "I want to see daddy." I was so thankful that he didn't get hurt. With this one parenting has taken on a whole new meaning.
