This also used to be called King Springs Park Pool or the so-called "Smyrna Pool" years ago back in the 1970's and 1980's, located on 3590 King Springs Rd., Smyrna Ga., which now days is absolutely "gorgeous in every way for any Cobb County, Ga. residents for a small admission fee!"............................................................
This remarkable highly clean swimming pool has been up-graded tremendously year after year for any and all Smyrna/Marietta Ga. residents, showing NO signs of structural damage decline or failure. "Ironically?" This is one of Smyrna Ga.'s beautiful landmarks in it's history of time? Which was also even built before the Smyrna Community center back in the 1980's, and also includes the elaborate public library on hand-layed red brick layer streets, which is located approx. one mile away from this beautiful Smyrna public swimming pool.
The prices for admission of the highly acclaimed Smyrna landmark Tolleson Park Swimming Pool has changed throughout the years? Here in the summer of 2010, the adult price is $5.00, anyone under the age of 16 is $3.00, including babies. Unfortunately? They do NOT accept credit cards, only cash or personal checks. They also no longer have the "baby pool" which has been turned into a running waterfall for small children.
Which is actually great! Simply because it gives babies and small children under the ages of 4 or less to have fun without the risk of drowning and of course any litigation lawsuit....................................................
This babies waterfall is an excellent way for small children to run around in circles and have a good time. This beautiful Smyrna Ga. landmark swimming pool still has the clean 10ft. of diving experience regarding a low dive and a high dive. This "clean water swimming pool" also still has the original 5ft. wide of range of swimming for anyone to enjoy, if you just want to swim and and have a good time! Years ago, they used to have races in this particular wide open space of swimming with ropes!
The truly "incredible swimming pool" Tolleson Park Smyrna Ga. located on 3590 King Springs Rd. now has a long tennis court in 2010 and (2) two sheltered picnic tables outside of the swimming area, located beside the tennis court. Food and or drinks are not permitted in the swimming area after your admission entry. The small snack bar serves candy bars, potato chips, etc. Smoking cigarettes is only permitted in certain areas outside of the swimming facility.
Cobb County and Smyrna, Ga. Police officials constantly surveille this particular landmark site for any un-wanted visitors. They will go down the line of the parking lot and "ironically" check out each and everyones tag number! If you are out of town? Beware of these local police officials with their sometimes unusual questions!
However? They are only trying to protect this beautiful Smyrna Landmark! This is also where the Smyrna's police wife's hang out during the summertime each year daily! After your admission, you will most likely notice the continuous police cars driving by...................................................
Life-guards at this particular Smyrna swimming facility are also very strict and "suspicious" regrading rules of behavior and your swimming attire. You must go by the appropriate rules or else you will be thrown out! And could possibly be arrested because of so many police officials hanging around of this public place all day, that just simply don't like your looks!...................................
Please remember: "This is a Smyrna, Ga. historical landmark!" These local small-town Smyrna/Cobb County cops will do anything they can to keep this swimming location safe at all times, especially whenever their wife's and family members safety are concerned!
