Will Accident Affect Tom Brady's Game?
Tom Brady did not suffer any physical injury in the accident, but he may see a few mental effects. An individual that was in the accident needed to be transported to the hospital. News reports from ESPN say that a van that was not driven by Tom Brady apparently ran a red light and then Tom Brady T-boned the van while driving in his sedan.
ESPN reported that Tom Brady arrived late to practice, and several team mates saw Brady smiling and he threw several crisp passes. It seemed like Brady was getting over the initial shock of being in a car accident.
The New England Patriots are favored to win the game against the Cincinnati Bengals by most odds pickers by nearly a touchdown. If the accident that Tom Brady was in has any lasting effects it may be seen in his performance on the field. Odds makers do not think that the accident will have much bearing on the games outcome as they are still favoring the Patriots to beat the Bengals.
The game will be played in Foxboro, and this gives the Patriots home field advantage. The game will be played on Sunday. This gives Brady several days mental rest to get ready for the game, and he should be ready to take to the gridiron to play against the Bengals.
Tom Brady's Contract in Negotiation
Tom Brady is about to enter his final year in his contract with the New England Patriots. There is speculation in Foxboro about how much the star quarterback was worth, and there are hopes that a long term deal could be in place before the start of the season. ESPN's Wendi Nix reports that the deal could be between $18 and $20 million per season with a 4 year extension to his current contract.

Post a CommentI don't really keep up with sports, but I think it's always a good thing to hear someone walking away from a car accident uninjured. :)
