Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Married

Wedding Bells for Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen

Three time Super Bowl champion quarterback, Tom Brady took the plunge Thursday, marrying Brazilian super model Gisele Bundchen. The couple has been engaged since Christmas Eve, when Brady proposed on a flight to Boston. They have been the talk of New England Patriots fans since they began dating in 2006. Not all the talk has been positive. Many fans believe Brady put the Patriot's on the back burner while he travelled the world with Gisele. He was often seen in photos at expensive, exotic places around the world, usually cheek to cheek, if not lips to lips, with Gisele.

The Brady/Bundchen wedding took place at St. Monica's Church in Santa Monica, California at 6pm states People magazine. It was an intimate Catholic ceremony with close family in attendance. His previous girlfriend, Bridget Moynahan did not go to the wedding, but their little boy, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, was in attendance.

Usmagazine.com reported that Gisele wore a form fitted ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, and a long train. She also adorned a floor-length veil with hand crafted satin roses and headband. Dolce & Gabbana designed the dress.

Many New England Patriot's followers will probably breathe a sigh of relief now that the speculation and rumors of a wedding are finally over. Their hope is that Tom Brady recovers from his knee injury and leaves the glitz behind, returning as the focused, healthy quarterback he once was. Tom missed the entire 2008 NFL season, injuring his knee in the season opener.

Not that Matt Cassel was ineffective last season. He did an outstanding job as the fill in quarterback for Brady. He surprised a lot of fans and the NFL with the way he progressed throughout the season. Surely, he will be sought out by other teams as a starting quarterback. Kansas City seems to be interested in Cassel.

Hopefully, the New England Patriots 2009 season will leave Tom Brady's love life behind and concentrate on the business of football. The infamous walking boot incident outside Gisele's apartment, the intimate sightings of the couple in posh restaurants, the paparazzi photos, and the small talk about Brady's abandoning his teammates will be long forgotten if Brady returns in true form.

According to Bill Belichick, the Patriots' coach, there is nothing to worry about. He says, "I think Tom's one of the toughest players on our team, mentally and physically. He works hard and he can be focused on his job regardless of what's going on in all of the surroundings - the crowd, the game, the - whatever it is, stuff flying around him, but he's very calm. He's a great competitor, but he's very calm."
