The 2006 Best Shooter rated by EGM Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas is one of the best games out now. Las Vegas has been taken over by terrorist and it is up to you and your team to take them out and take back Sin City. You play as Logan Keller, the team leader and recon expert. As you and your two man team run around the dirty and dusty streets of Mexico to the crazy and chaotic streets of Vegas you learn new revolutionary ways to use you and your teammates to defeat the enemies. This game is never the same twice, the next-gen A.I. makes the enemies much smarter and harder to defeat, they not only react to you and your movements but they also speak to one-another and often curse at you. This game is one of the best shooter games, this is a must buy.

The story mode you start off in the streets of Mexico attempting to stop terrorists sneaking into the country and going to cause chaos and terror. Once you have stopped the terrorist from coming into the country you must go and defend not only Las Vegas but also the country by taking back Sin City from the terrorist. Once you are in the wild and uncontrollable city of Vegas you must take out the terrorist but be careful because they use hostage situations often. After you defeat them in the city of Vegas you move towards the dam to finish off and kill the terrorist. During the last and final mission you find a surprise that will lead up to the next of the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six series. The ending is a surprise that you will probably not suspect.

There are many new features in this game and many of them are very effective in helping you sneak around and kill the enemies more efficiently. Some of these features are using your teammates to help breach a room simultaneously as you, this is very affective while using the "tag". You can "tag" and enemy through the snake cam and tell your teammates to kill them when you breach a room. Also using your teammates affectively is a big part of the game, you learn that you cannot get through the game without your teammates and that you cannot do everything alone. Some other features are the rappel, window breach and fast roping. All three of these are used frequently in the game and effectively. Another feature is the blind firing. You can blind fire while in cover, although you rarely kill enemies like this, it is very effective if they are very close to you. All of these new features help you dominate the game and win back Vegas from the terrorists who are holding it captive.

The online play is amazing and very addictive. One of the greatest parts to me of the online play is how you can customize your player and use him online and since this game is compatible with the Xbox Live Vision you can take a picture of your self and put your face into the game. You start off as a Private Second Class and work your way up 16 ranks all the way to an Elite, the highest rank on the online world of Vegas. As you rank up you unlock new items to use online such as outfits and new guns that you cannot use at lower ranks. This is really good because it makes it more of a challenge to rank up because you don't have the greatest weapons. The online maps are amazing and no one team has an advantage at a certain spawn point. The online games can get as big as a 7 on 7 games, which is not a small online game because of the real game play. 14 players online is perfect because it's not to little of a game but it's also not too big. The online play is definitely a plus to this game.

This game is a must buy and I am sure people will be playing this game for now and years to come. This is a game that will go down in history.
