Wide receiver Plaxico Burress is planning on returning to the NFL this fall. New York Giants head coach Tom Coughlin doesn't have much to say on the subject.

"I haven't spent a lot of time thinking or talking about that," Coughlin stated during a Friday press conference. "I anticipated someone would ask that question. I don't know that there would be any interest by the Giants. I don't know that there won't be, but I don't know that there will be. I don't have any comment about that right now. I really don't."

Coughlin also spoke about the upcoming NFL Draft, hinting that the team will select a center due to injuries sustained by Shaun O'Hara, Rich Seubert and Adam Koets. Coughlin also stated that running back Brandon Jacobs needs more carries in the upcoming season. The running back's future with the Giants was not discussed. He also spoke briefly about criticisms from Antrel Rolle and Kenny Phillips, who claimed Coughlin was "too uptight" as a head coach. "You should've seen me a few years ago, that's my response," Coughlin said.

It's not surprising that Coughlin wouldn't go into depth regarding Plaxico Burress returning to the Giants. The team isn't planning on making any roster moves until the current NFL labor dispute is settled, and the futures of players such as Steve Smith and Kevin Boss need to be determined before Plax is even considered.
