Every woman knows that weddings are for the bride and the groom is merely supposed to show up. He may get the opportunity to decide on the cake or something trivial but for the most part weddings are a woman's world. It was already noted that Tom and Katie wanted two completely opposite weddings. She wanted traditional, quiet family oriented wedding somewhere in her hometown. He on the other hand wanted an A-List wedding with all of his A-List friends in a place that exuded wealth and sophistication. Needless to say Tom gets what Tom wants. He chose the place, he chose the guest but he didn't stop there he also chose her wedding gown. Why was this news so appalling? A man picking your wedding gown for your wedding is an absolute no-no even if he was paying for it. A suggestion or two may be but all rights to the dress belong to the bride. The only thing she was allowed to shop for was her honeymoon lingerie and even then she thought of him by buying him a few things as well.
The cameras rolled as she walked the castle stairs. It rained, natures way of saying don't do this. She wore all black and the privileged crowd that followed behind her looked like they were walking in a funeral procession. She walked slowly almost like she would if she knew she was walking to her death. I saw the look on Katie's face on the wedding photos her smile was wane and her eyes were sad. She looked close to tears that were not happy. I imagined what she was thinking. It was something along the lines of doom and disaster. She probably wondered how Nicole Kidman stayed with him for as long as she did, She probably thought of his three divorces before her, and how was she going to get away from him without him keeping their daughter. Those are all the things I imagined her thinking but then again I could be wrong.
