Felton began his acting around the time he was 8 years old. He started in the entertainment business at the suggestion of a family friend who was an actress. She had taken notice of his theatrical qualities. After meeting with an agent he had auditioned against over 400 children and won the part in an international commercial campaign.
For his age Felton has a decent amount of credits aside from the Harry Potter movies that he can be proud of. In 1995 he played James in the TV series Bugs, in 1997 he played Peagreen Clock in The Borrowers, in 1999 he played Thomas in Second Sight and Louis Leonowens in Anna and the King, in 2000 he played Thomas Ingham in Second Sight II: Hide and Seek. It was in 2001 that Felton started his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies.
Aside from his acting, Felton is an avid sportsman. He enjoys taking part in soccer, basketball, cricket, tennis and even ice skating to name a few of the sports that Felton takes part in.
On his official website Felton had posted his own personal message about himself. He had made a statement about himself in 2004, stating that they can not drive where he is from until they are 17 so since he was only 16 he did not have a car. He went on to point out that all the websites with rumors of seeing him driving a Mercedes were false. I wonder where those rumors started from.
While reading around in Felton's blog, I have started learning a lot about Tom Felton as a person and not just a character in a movie. For starters Felton has 3 brothers and no sisters. A lot of mention is made in his blog entries about his family, showing what appears to be a close relationship with them.
You can see photos and videos of Felton and his brother Chris that were done during the 2006 Junior World Carp Championship at www. worldjuniorcarptournament.com. Tom and Chris had both co-hosted the tournament.
In one of his blog entries he mentions the fact that he seen that his autographs are being sold on E-bay. He states in his blog that this makes him not want to bother doing autographs. So people please stop selling his autographs, if he took the time to sign it then show some respect and keep it.
Felton warns his fans on his website that he does not have an email address so to not believe anyone who is saying they are him. He also warns fans not to give out any personal information to anyone that is claiming to be him. Felton does however have a feedback page on his official website where fans can send him messages. He points out however that he doesn't have time to reply back but does try to read everyone that is sent to him.
Felton's official website: www.tomfelton.com has not been updated since 2005 from what I have seen. There are some really interesting blog posts and photos on the website that may be of interests to his fans despite the lack of updates.
