Award Winning Pizza
This family business offers a number of different specialty pizzas or you can opt to make your own combination.
Tomaso's number one seller is the Mombo Combo. It is piled with pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, hand-sliced onions and green peppers, California black olives and Italian sausage. The sausage is custom ground by the owner's brother. Depending on the type of crust and size of pizza you can spend anywhere from $10.99 to $21.49.
There is the self-described sassy Ham and Kraut pizza or the sweet and smoky Hawaiian Ham and Pineapple.
You can always opt for a simple cheese pizza. A small, New York Thin cheese pizza is only $6.99.
My favorite is the Veggie Combo. On this pie are fresh mushrooms, onions, green peppers, black olives and broccoli florets. If you want something a little extra try to the Great Garden - I'm All In! It is the Veggie Combo with artichoke hearts, tomato and sliced jalapenos.
Crusts come in NY Thin, Detroit or Chicago Deep Dish Style. All crusts are made with fresh dough.
Break some Bread
For sides you can order some smoked (not fried), Hot or BBQ wings for $5.99. They also serve their own Tomaso-made garlic bread for $2.99. For $4.49, you can add some cheese.
You can opt for soda, wine or beer for a beverage.
Tomaso's is an order at the counter, wait on yourself type of place. The atmosphere is non-smoking and very family friendly.
Join the Club!
If you want to get free pizza every month, join Tomaso's inner circle. They have three levels of membership with the option of monthly payments. You can cancel your membership at any time.
Also, if you are ever unsatisfied with a Tomaso's pizza, they will give you your money back.
Tomaso's can be found on 32nd and Center Point Road NE and Edgewood and Johnson NW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. You can also find them at Boyson and Center Point Road in Hiawatha, Iowa. Give them a call if you want them to start your dine-in order early. They can usually get a pizza done in thirty minutes. Carry-out is available as well.
