Tomato and Basil Facial Cleanser
It's Not a Delicious Pasta Sauce - It's the Newest Addition to Your Natural Skincare Regimen!
Tomatoes are very good at sucking up extra oils and dirt that could be hiding in your pores and beneath the layer of dead skin on your face. Pairing the usefulness of tomatoes with the natural cleaning power of basil can turn an every day remedy into a miracle skin cure!
To use tomato and basil to make a facial cleanser, it's easiest to utilize your food processor. Make a paste out of the basil with your food processor. When you put your tomato in, the consistency will be different from the basil because of the slimy seeds inside the tomato. Don't discard them! Use the entire tomato, and even though the paste will be a bit runny, adding the basil will even it out and make it easier to apply to your skin. After making both the basil and the tomato into pastes of two different consistencies, mix them together in a medium sized bowl. You can use your fingers to mix them together, and make sure you mix well.
Apply the mixture to your face by using your index finger and middle finger on both hands, using the pads to apply in small, soft circles starting close to the middle of your face and moving slowly outwards. Be careful and don't press too hard against your skin - you don't have to put much effort into scrubbing your face with this mixture, it does enough good on it's own when it settles.
Let the mixture sit on your face for about 5 minutes before you rinse it off. This will give the nutrients and vitamins time to seep into your pores, and it also gives the ingredients time to do their cleaning magic, pulling dirt and oil from your pores and bringing it to the surface. When you rinse your face, you'll be rinsing much more off than just tomato and basil - you're rinsing away dead skin cells, bacteria, viral agents, harmful oils and dirt, and other things that harm your skin and cause acne and discoloration.
This facial cleanser is safe to use every day. Have fun, and keep it natural!
