Tommy Hayfield's Top 10 Subjects

My All Time Fave Top 10 Subjects on Yahoo!

Tommy Hayfield
Since starting here at the Yahoo Contributor Network I've had a lot of fun writing stuff of all kinds. When I started writing here as a matter of fact we weren't even affiliated with Yahoo! but were known as AssociatedContent.com...I consider the name change an upgrade if only for the ease of speaking the name of where I write to askers of that question. Associated Content didn't roll off the tongue. Yahoo! rhymes with wahoo and sounds like an acclamation of enthusiasm...not so much Associated Content. I've narrowed down the bulk of my writing to ten categories which I'll enumerate here...maybe you'll get an idea of reading something you weren't aware of.

Poetry
I started off at AC writing poetry and found some dedicated audience members who keep coming back for more of my satirical and often targeted sarcasm...I've targeted the FBI--who knows why--with more than a few poems that have intrigue inherent in their content. Reading them you'll find a theme and an attitude I have about the law enforcement community. Check out my several dozen poems from 2008 mostly.

Gardening Stories
Gardening stories have found a dedicated audience and I've written some gardening stories and ideas on how to do gardens if you have just indoor space...check them out.

Audio NFL Stories
Audio stories became a hot idea early for me in 2011 because they more easily conveyed the info I was trying to convey. Football was the subject of my audio stories and I churned out more than a hundred stories about NFL teams and Super Bowls covering all 45 years of that event. You can hear an audio story of every Super Bowl championship game ever played on my site; you can also hear stories about the time line of every NFL team in the league today; there are 32 of them now.

Football Predictions
I participated in a football predictions contest for NFL games last season so I did predictions for all those weeks of the season...I also did many stories that reported injuries in the NFL for those of you who track that for fantasy football purposes.

Music
My next door neighbor from high school CJ Snare of Firehouse gave me the idea of writing music-related stories and I gave that idea some effort and I did several music stories including musician profiles, band profiles , album releases, and new album reviews. Check out those stories many of which are audio stories. The first highlighted words in this paragraph can be left-clicked to show you a Youtube promotional video.

Science
Audio stories caught my fancy this year and I produced a lot of top ten stories in audio format: many of them were science-related top ten stories. I also did top ten stories in written format: many of those stories were about television celebrities and found an instant audience.

Museum Stories
Museums line the streets of Richmond, Virginia where I live and I thought they would be a good choice of subjects for my scrutiny. I've done more than a dozen museum stories dealing with Virginia, New York, and California museums. I have more of those in the pipeline so check out those reviews.

Politics
In Richmond big time politicians roost on occasion since this is the capital of the state...during political season I've attended and reported on events with Bill Clinton, Sarah Palin, Barrack Obama, and Tim Keane. Next political season I'll probably give the reporting thing a shot again. It's not my favorite job, but I thought I should stop telling jokes and being optimistic for a bit and write about the angry and often difficult part of our world.

Biographies
I found a few world figures who I thought could use some attention so I did biographies of them...among biographies I've done are ones of Nelson Mandela and Jimmy Carter. Check out those if you're concerned about the state of our concern for human rights.

Television and Public Figures
The general theme of anarchy in our media is expressed by me in several stories: sometime poetry connects the absurdity of television and political figures in our public eye and sometime prose relates it well. There will always be more crazies to talk about in the future...maybe you'll find out something you didn't perceive as you get inundated with crappy television reporting like everyone in America. Check out those many stories as well.

This has been a lot of fun writing for the Yahoo Contributor Network...check out my enthusiastic efforts to inform and entertain you.

Right on! Write on!
