Tomorrow Will Come

Feona1962
I kissed your little forehead

it was oh, so very tender.

Then moved on toward your cheek,

so smooth and blushing.

I tried to relieve the sorrow

of yesterday

and time to come.

But each and every tomorrow

the pain of yesterday will come

forever, as if yesterday never ended.

You were so very tiny

but you are growing much too fast.

You seem to know what is happening

no matter what it is.

The passing of your daddy

made you stronger and braver.

You are my little miracle

that helped me pass the days a bit easier.

We both will grow together

and help each other

over the bridges.

And maybe in time to come

my little miracle,

you and I

will come to understand

why such things must happen.

Please hold on to me

don't let me fall!

The road ahead will seem to get longer.

As you grow, as I will too;

maybe tomorrow will come

and yesterday will be done.
