Tom's Bar and Grill is located in the downtown area and is surrounded by tons of different clubs and resturants. It's become a hot stop place for people going on on the town over the weekends. Me, like visiting Tom's bar and Grill when it's quite and not so crowded. Since they open at 11 a,m and close at 1 a.m Mon-Sat, there is plenty of room to find a relaxed time to show up.
Honestly though I go on Monday's all because of the $1 tacos that they offer. I have always been a fan on the $1 tacos and the $5 margaritas. This is their "happy hour." and to me it gets no better than that. Also on Thursdays they offer $1 domestic draft beers! I go crazy on Thursdays because you aren't going to find beer being served as cheap as that.
There isn't a dress code considering that it's just a bar and grill. I walk in the place in a pair of jeans and tennsi shoes every Monday and Thursdays.
Unlike alot of open bar and grills there isn't a time when this place is considered to be "kid friendly." I personally have never brought my children here for a quick bite to eat and I wouldn't recommend anyone else did so either. This is a place for the grown and grown, definitely not a kids place.
Tom's Bar and Grill's menu is very extensive, even though I go for the tacos. They still offer alot of different things to eat. I've tried their mozarella sticks as well as their chicken wings. Most of the things they serve are fried foods. The one thing that I was surprised by was that they offer salads. There aren't alot of bars that I've been to that offer salad on the menu. All their salads range from $6.25 to$7.50, which isn't bad because you get a nice amount. They don't have many entrees on the menu, I say about three real entrees. You can't expect a huge menu from a bar and grill. Tom's and Bar Grill serves finger foods mostly which is fine with me.
The service reminds me alot like the show Cheers. Everyone knows eachother and everyone is friendly and kind. They work hard to make sure that their customers are comfortable and left satisfied. I've never had an issue with their service. They are discrete with their service which I like because alot of the time I go to enjoy the game on the big screen tv that they have.
Tom's Bar and Grill is exceptional in price and in service. I plan on being a loyal customer to Tom's for a very long time.
