Mongolian grills, for those of you not familiar with them, provide dozens of fresh ingredients along a buffet. At Ton's, you will have the choice between beef, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, and sausage (or a combination if you like). There is also a vast array of freshly chopped vegetables and even tofu- you can make a completely vegetarian meal at Ton's! Remember, you build your own plate- no one is doling out portions for you, so be creative.
Once you have filled your tray with all of the food you want, you will choose from the various spices and oils available. There is a chart overhead at Ton's to help you create a meal to your specific tastes, from mild to very hot. (Watch out for that hot oil if you're a wimp with spicy foods!) From there, you will take your ingredients to a giant grill and watch your food be stir-fried.
There are three very nice Latino gentlemen who man the grill at Ton's, so be sure to leave them a tip as well on your way out the door. In just a few minutes, you have a fresh, delicious, stir-fried meal. From there, you will be treated with the utmost respect from one the waiting staff. Regulars are treated like family at Ton's and once you discover it, you will most likely be a convert.
A grand opening of the new location in South Arlington boasts a larger dining room to hold their ever-growing number of devotees. Pricing at Ton's is extremely fair, too. On several nights a week, there is a dinner special for two adults at $13.99. That's amazing considering it is all-you-can-eat of the finest, freshest food around. Leave the greasy Chinese take-out behind and start your new diet at Ton's.

Post a CommentThis is the ONE thing I truly miss about living in DFW. I wish they would open one in Houston. They'd make a killing here! There are only a couple of Mongolian grills, and they are not good. One of them is bland, and the other leaves too much oil in your food. It tastes too sweet.
I miss you, Ton's!
This food is delicious and the article is spot on.
Eat and tip well.
Don't forget to ask for pancake with your meal!
