Tony's Place
Neighborhood: Ivyland
Ivyland, PA 18966
United States of America
Tony's Place in Ivyland, Pennsylvania is quite possibly the best-kept secret in the area. Featuring primarily Italian fare, Tony's Place also combines American favorites into their menu, making it a place everyone in town will love. They also feature NFL games, and Outdoor Patio with a bar, and an overall happy and relaxed atmosphere, as well as carryout services available.

To start, we have to talk about Tony's pizza. They carry the best tomato pie; literally, they were voted best of Bucks for how exceptional it truly is. They also carry a white pizza, which doesn't have sauce, and it too, it just wonderful. The crust for the pies is perfect, the sauce or cheese is fabulous, and you really can't find better specialty pizza in this area.

If you're dining in, be sure to start with one of Tony's many delicious appetizers. Our family's favorite is the Pretzel Fondue, it's fun, cheesy and great for kids and adults a like! The Mini Angus Burgers are also tasty and perfect for sharing, as is the Spinach and Artichoke dip, the Nachos and the Crab cake Appetizer. In actuality, any appetizer from Tony's Place would be a great start to a great meal.

Tony's other starters include their famous homemade chili as well as their delicious minestrone soup, although every time I've tried their Soup of the Day, I've been quite pleased. Their salads are also pretty fantastic, they're fresh, which is where it counts. The Tomato basil salad is unique and tasty, as is their buffalo chicken salad. They have a wide variety of salad dressing available to please all palettes, such as bleu cheese, garlic white balsamic and warm bacon vinaigrette as well as old stand-bys such as honey mustard, thousand island and ranch. They just have a knack at making great food, so even the simple menu items are out of this world.

Entrees from Tony's Place make it all worth the trip! They have a small selection of spaghetti dishes, ranging from the traditional spaghetti with meatballs and marinara sauce to shrimp scampi and eggplant Parmesan served over a bed of al dente pasta. They also carry a few seafood selections, such as a crab cake entrée, a grilled salmon dish and a pecan encrusted grouper that is totally amazing. As far as chicken dishes are concerned, Tony's nails it on the head with their Sautéed Chicken Alfredo, it's seasoned so well and the sauce is creamy and rich, it's perfect! Lastly, if you're in the mood for a hearty dish, Tony's Flat Iron Steak is a great pick, as is the Veal Francaise or the Grilled Pork Tenderloin.

Tony's also offers a wide selection of sandwich options, available for both eat-in or take-out. Our favorite sandwich is the Veggie Burger, but the Crab cake Sandwich is also incredible. Tony's also features a few Philly famous Sandwiches, like their roast beef and pork sandwiches as well as a perfect sausage and peppers sandwich that is my mother-in-law's favorite. Tony's sandwiches go great with their seasoned French fries or chili cheese fries.

If you live in this area or are visiting briefly, be sure to try Tony's Place for a great meal along with a fabulous dining experience.
