Too Many Devices That Need to Be Charged? CallPod Has Your Solution

Works on Cell Phones, IPods, Bluetooth, and PDA's

Wendy Dawn
There are two IPods, 6 cell phones, 2 IPod Shuffles, one PDA, and 4 laptop computers in my home. Something always needs to be charged. Many times I have raced around the house looking for an unused outlet just to charge my cell phone. Then, I run around checking the chargers, to find the one that matches my phone. Every electronic device or phone manufacturer has its own charger. Every device requires its own voltage. Cords are tangled. Outlets are pulling juice whether the device is plugged in or not. It can be frustrating.

A company called CallPod may have the answer to my problems. CallPod is now selling a device called Charge Pod. Charge Pod allows you to charge up to six electronic devices at one time. It comes with a variety of adapters, so you can charge a couple cell phones, your Bluetooth device, and IPods all from one outlet. It works using voltage regulator technology that allows just the right amount of volts to charge your electronic device, regardless of the manufacturer or voltage requirements.

I'm excited about the adapters and voltage regulator, because more than one time I've plugged the wrong adapter into the wrong device burning out the electronic components forever. The Charge Pod looks like the answers to many of my electronics' problems. It will charge most any electronic device that requires a charge in the 5 to 6 volts range.

The Charge Pod has a green indicator light to let you know it is working, and blue indicator lights let you know your devices are charging. it is small, portable, and not an eyesore like the assortment of chargers probing the walls of my home.

It can't be used for the computers, but with a few free outlets, it's easy to find a place to charge my computers, now. Plus, by freeing up outlets we have plugged in lamps that haven't shed light on anything in years. According to CallPod a second version of the Charge Pod is already in the works with the goal of being able to plug in laptops, and other big electronic devices.

So far, consumer response to the Charge Pod has been positive. Everyone seems just as happy as I am to get rid of the clutter and tangle of adapter wires. Power strips have been eliminated, as have cluttered desks, and kitchen countertops.

The price is a little steep, $49.95, plus approximately $10 for each adapter. If you hate clutter the way I do, you may decide it's worth any price.
