If you're like the millions of Americans in search of a fast and affordable way to whiten your teeth you are not alone. Tooth whitening has become the new craze. By now I'm sure you've tried at least one or two whitening methods and may have come up short You've even watched countless commercials promising fast results however I would like to share a few methods I've researched and hopefully they will have you going on to a brighter smile.

A few of the common forms of tooth whitening are toothpaste that offers it as an added bonus to eliminating morning breath another method introduced to consumers are whitening strips which offers a concentrated dose of Peroxide but if you are like me you want instant results. The key to most tooth whiteners is Peroxide and while whitening strips offer a step up over toothpaste they are not the best either. The higher the amount of peroxide used the greater the results however you may want to be careful because like with all good things too much may not be good for you. If you are serious about your smile and would rather have it done professionally most professionals offer multiple methods that include toothpaste, strips, bleaching and in extreme cases veneers.

One trip down a grocery aisle will leave you either informed or confused. Unless you have an idea of what products you are interested in buying. There are tons of companies that offer you results such as Colgate's advanced white toothpaste it promises to whiten your teeth in just two weeks. Crest multi-whitening fresh mint promises to do the same after continued use. For those of you who like the idea of do-it-yourself you may be interested in trying Crest white strips it is recommended over whitening toothpastes but takes a few weeks to see any real results. Another option is home tooth whitening kits that come complete with instructions, syringes and thermoforming mouth trays. They offer the best results due to higher concentrations of peroxide.

Tooth whitening is so popular that most methods can be easily purchased online for your convenience. If you need to see it before you buy it most pharmacies offer these products with out a prescription. No matter the case it is always wise to seek the professional opinion of your dentist before trying anything. Whatever you choose be safe on your journey to a brighter smile.
