4th of July Fireworks on the Amistad: July 4, 2009

Enjoy the 4th of July fireworks show from the deck of the stationary Amistad, between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. While the fireworks will be visible from many Plymouth Harbor locations, a prime viewing spot is aboard the Amistad. Advanced tickets must be purchased for the fireworks show.

All-American Independence Day Festival: July 4, 2009

Families can partake in the Stockbridge Independence Day Festival at the Normal Rockwell Museum. There will be classic cars on display, a delicious barbecue, 4th of July arts and crafts inspired Norman Rockwell style, and sporting activities.

Stockbridge Independence Day Festival takes place between 11am and 3pm and is included with museum admission. Admission to the museum is $15 for adults, $13.50 for seniors, $10 for college students (bring I.D., please), and children 18 and under are admitted for free with a paying adult.

Barbeque on the Old Whaling Church Lawn: July 4, 2009

Enjoy the 2009 4ht of July holiday with a backyard barbecue. Bring your own blankets for the picnic and enjoy the musical stylings of the Vineyard Haven Band. The event takes place between 4pm and 8pm. For more information please call (508) 627-4440.

Boston July 4th Sailabration

Reserve your seats now for a dockside front row seats of the 2009 Boston Fireworks show. Gates open at 4pm, cookout food is served t 6:30pm, followed by live music and the fireworks show. Tickets are $65 for and adult and $25 for a child. This event will sell out, do not wait to buy your tickets.

Cruise, a Clambake and Fireworks, New England Style: July 4, 2009

Enjoy a tasty clambake aboard the USS Salem at the U.S. Shipbuilding Museum between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. After the clambake, baton down the hatches for a cruise of the Bosont Harbor, where you will enjoy live music and hors d'oeuvres. During your cruise, you will have a front row seat to the Boston fireworks. Can you say, "date night"?

Independence Day Celebration at OSV: July 4, 2009

Step back in time for a quaint 19th-century Independence Day Celebration at Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts.

A second event takes place at night, between 6pm and 10pm. Tickets for the Independence Day Celebration and tickets for the fireworks are not interchangeable. Purchase tickets for one event or the other, or for both. Fireworks tickets cost $12 per person and OSV members save $2 per ticket. Children under three are admitted for free.

Independence Day at Top of the Hub: July 4, 2009

Or choose a city-inspired Independence Day celebration with the annual Independence Day gourmet celebration at the Prudential Building's Top of the Hub. Feast on a five-course meal and watch the Boston fireworks from high in the sky, if the weather cooperates. Tickets are $200 per person. The event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2009 from 7pm until 11:30pm.

New Bedford Summerfest: July 3, 2009 to July 5, 2009

Folk music, food, fun and a juried arts and crafts exhibit await you at New Bedford Summerfest. Musical acts include the Jonathan Edwards Trio, Lovell Sisters and Peter Mulvey. Friday hours are 6:30-9:30p.m., and the New Bedford Summerfest hours on both Saturday, July 4, 2009 and Sunday, July 5, 2009 are 11am until 9pm.

Sail Plymouth 2009: July 3-6, 2009

The Sail Plymouth is a three-day event celebrating the arrival of the Mystic and Peacemaker tall ships. The tall ships will be arriving at Plymouth Harbor. Visitors may the boats, watch the boat parade on Friday night, or choose to view the fireworks from the Amistad on the 4th of July.
