With training camps opening and the season right around the corner, it is the time of the year for fantasy football preview 2009. Here we take a look at the crop of 2009 fantasy football quarterbacks. Among our rankings are perennial top tier performers such as Drew Brees and Peyton Manning, those looking to come back from big injuries like Carson Palmer and Tom Brady as well as up and comers like Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers.

1.Drew Bress
Last Year: 5,069 Yards, 34 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 4,900 Yards with 35 TDs

Drew Bress led all fantasy football quarterbacks last year in both yards and touchdowns. In the Saints pass happy offense and with a healthy core, Drew Brees once again looks poised to make yet another run as one of 2009's top fantasy football quarterbacks.

2.Tom Brady
Last Year: 76 Yards, 0 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 4,500 Yards with 29 TDs

After suffering a devestating injury in last year's opener, Tom Brady's presence was conspicuously absent from the fantasy football world. As one of the NFL's perennial top fantasy football quarterbacks, look for a quick rebound, more eye popping numbers, and another year of hating the Patriots.

3.Peyton Manning
Last Year: 4,002 Yards, 27 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 4,200 Yards with 30 TDs

Despite a relatively strong season for any other quarterbacks, Peyton Manning showed signs that he may be entering the twilight of his career. With new coaching changes, the loss of Marvin Harrison, and an aging offense, Manning is not the sure bet he has been in the past. However, Manning has shown time and time again that not only does he have the physical tools needed to be a successful quarterback, he also has the intelligence. Look for Manning to do just fine with what he is given en route to another strong year.

4.Phillip Rivers
Last Year: 4,009 Yards, 34 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 3,900 Yards with 31 TDs

After having a career year, the still young Phillip Rivers in one of the NFL's next generation quarterbacks. With one of the weakest divisions in football and the return of LaDainian Tomlinson, Rivers has a great shot to build upon last year's numbers and rise as one of the top fantasy football quarterbacks of the future.

5.Aaron Rodgers
Last Year: 4,038 Yards, 28 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 4,100 Yards with 30 TDs

Aaron Rodgers impressed last year in his first full season as Brett Favre's replacement in Green Bay. With no more distraction, a year under his belt, and an improved offense, look for Rogers to put up even bigger numbers in 2009.

6.Kurt Warner
Last Year: 4,583Yards, 30 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 4,500 Yards with 29 TDs

Kurt Warner does not seem to be affected by the aging process that seems affects the other 99% of the human population. With another big year and another superbowl appearance in 2008, Kurt Warner showed no signs of showing down and with Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin at his disposal, another big year seems to be in the making.

7.Donovan Mcnabb
Last Year: 3,916Yards, 23 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 4,000 Yards with 26 TDs

Perhaps one of the NFL's most underrated and under appreciated quarterbacks both in real life and in fantasy football, Donovan Mcnabb continues to put up solid numbers year in and year out. With last year being one of his best statistical years, Mcnabb showed a resilience and resurgence that makes him a strong pick for 2009.

8.Matt Ryan
Last Year: 3,440Yards, 16 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 3,800 Yards with 21 TDs

One of the most enticing young quarterbacks in recent memory, Matt Ryan had a rookie season for the ages. As one of the 2009 fantasy football quarterbacks with the most promise, Matt Ryan looks to make yet another leap up the boards with his second year.

9.Carson Palmer
Last Year: 731Yards, 3 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 3,700 Yards with 22 TDs

Carson Palmer has the tools to once again be a top tier quarterback. With his injury and the drama of a born again Ochocinco, Palmer and the Bengals offense are one of next years biggest mysteries, with a potentially great reward.

10.Tony Romo
Last Year: 3,448Yards, 26 TDs
Projected 2009 Stats: 3,200 Yards with 22 TDs

Tony Romo is a huge question mark next year. On one hand, he no longer has to deal with the drama of Terrel Owens. On the other hand, he no longer has the comfort of lobbing balls to...Terrel Owens. This year is do or die for Romo as he hopes to show he has the mental strength and poise to finally lead America's team to a playoff victory.
