Top 10 80's Cartoons

Stella Gage
Here is a list of my absolute favorite cartoons of the 1980's. Just take a small trip down memory lane and enjoy watching some of these shows with your own kids.

10. Care Bears -http://www.agkidzone.com/carebears.action

These cuddly bears were all the rage. I still have an original. I loved their bright colors. This was a great pre-schooler cartoon, teaching us manners, and how to be respectful.

9. Garfield - www.garfield.com

Who could resist that lovable sarcastic fat cat? The one who loves lasagna and who can't seem to be without his brown teddy bear, Pokey.

8. Shirt Tales - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirt_Tales

I loved these cute little guys. I was heartbroken when they went off the air. Their time was short lived. These little critters with their shirt tales hanging out.

7. Snoopy - www.snoopy.com

How can we forget the lovable Charlie Brown and his infamous dog, Snoopy; and Woodstock, his best friend. Holidays are never complete without watching Snoopy and friends.

6. G.I. Joe - www.hasbro.com/gijoe

Real American Hero! The battle cry says it all. Every full-blooded American child loved to watch these guys.

5. TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) - www.ninjaturtles.com

Michaelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, and Master Splinter. These butt kicking, karate c hopping, high flying ninja turtles brought so much excitement and comedy. Master Splinter's words of wisdom spoke truth to all their viewers.

4. Thundercats - www.thundercatsho.com

These mighty warrior cats and their quest to go home gave us an action packed adventure cartoon that kept us all on the edge of our seats.

3. Transformers - www.hasbro.com/transformers

The Transformers brought us an insight to technology that we could never have imagined. Cars that formed into robots, how cool was that?

2. Robotech - www.robotech.com

Japanese Animae at its best. The cartoon was full of action and great storylines. The love affair between Rick Hunter and Minmei was detailed perfectly.

1. Voltron - www.voltron.com

The best cartoon ever! It was like watching an animated soap opera. It had suspense, action, adventure, comedy, and even a love story.
