Top 10 Aerosmith Songs

My Top 10 Faves from Aerosmith

As a huge Aerosmith fan, it is extremely difficult to pick my top 10 favorites. I was raised on their music and its always been my favorite.
Aerosmith has put out so many great songs over the 30+ years they have been together. Some that just about everyone recognizes, and others that didnt make the top 40 play list.

Here are my top 10 Aerosmith Songs:

10. Nine Lives Album - Ain't that a B*tch (1997). What a great song to listen to when you have just had enough.

9. Just Push Play Album - Light Inside (2001) GREAT vocals here. Tyler has the ability to use his voice like an instrument.

8. Toys in the Attic Album - No More No More (1975) What might have been buried in the Aero-hits, this song was resurrected with the Rockin The Joint Tour.

7. Pump Album - What it Takes (1989) Anyone who grew up in the 80s probably knows this song. What a great break up song!

6. Permanent Vacation Album - Hangman Jury (1987) Again, Tyler uses his voice in top notch form here. If you havent heard this song, its a must hear!

5. Toys in the Attic Album - Big Ten Inch (1975) Great play on words - great rythym. i love this song!

4. Get Your Wings Album - Seasons of Wither (1974) Awesome Ballad that the Bad Boys of Boston started playing again in concert the last couple of years. Another great song here.

3. Get Your Wings Album - Woman of the World (1974). Talk about a song that gives a woman that power feeling. Who doesnt want to be the Woman of the World?

2. Get Your Wings Album - Lord of the Thighs (1974). Written back when the Boys of Bean Town were into the s*x, drugs and rock and roll scene, the story behind this song can be found in their book, Walk this Way.

1. Aerosmith Album - Dream On (1973). This is probably the most well known Aerosmith song. Steven Tyler wrote this song on his piano in the early 70s. Other members of the band quickly grew tired of hearing Tyler play the same notes on that piano. This song wasnt a huge hit when it was first released, but after being re-released it found its way into rock and roll history.

Most of the songs i chose are deep cuts from albums - and not a lot them got radio play. However, I feel that these songs are great and worth hearing. If you enjoy Aerosmith and havent heard of these songs, you should listen as i think you will be pleasantly surprised.
