This should go without being said that they offer the best undergraduate Engineering degree because MIT is one of the best universities to attend in the entire country. That is, if you can get in of course! Not only do they rank number one in overall engineering, they also rank number one in numerous sub-categories of engineering as well. If you are looking for a school to attend for engineering, this is the first school to look at.

2. Stanford University - Palo Alto, CA -
Stanford University is easily the best engineering school in the entire west coast. Aside from MIT, it could be considered the best in the entire country. Pairing the prestigious environment with a more weather friendly environment in Palo Alto makes Stanford University the best engineering university in the entire western half of the United States.

3. University of California, Berkeley - Berkeley, CA -
If you do not end up going to Stanford University for your undergraduate degree in engineering, you will definitely not be disappointed in attending the University of California, Berkeley, as this is still one of the premier univerisities for engineering in the entire country. At first glance, one might quickly assume that the University of Chicago has the best engineering program in the state of Illinois just due to U of C's reputation for being a top notch school. Carnegie Mellon is one of the most prestigious colleges in the entire country and you will have a great collegiate experience in obtaining your engineering degree from Carnegie Mellon.
