Top 10 Best Upcoming Movies of February 2011: February 4, 2011 Release Date

The Roommate - This is one of the best upcoming movies of February 2011 for guys who love a little eye candy, and one of the worst for girls that have a roommate that's just a little bit too clingy (roomies might not want to watch this one together). Minka Kelly stars as a girl whose roommate (Leighton Meester) becomes too obsessive and possessive of her. There's a girl-on-girl kiss in the trailer and Alyson Michalka adds to the eyecandy factor, so it might not be the best date movie for Valentine's Day (although Cam Gigandet makes great guycandy). So if you're a fan of mild cheese and mild sleaze, it's one of the upcoming movies of February 2011 that could be worth checking out for fun with some friends.

Frankie and Alice - This is one of the upcoming movies of February 2011 that's only in limited release, but it looks worth checking out if you get the chance. Halle Berry stars as a young woman suffering from multiple personality disorder, a difficult condition that's made worse by one of her personalities being racist. What would likely make this one of the best upcoming movies of February 2011 are the acting performances of Halle Berry and Phylicia Rashad, but of course it's easy to watch Halle Berry in anything.

Sanctum - James Cameron produced this action movie about a team of trapped cave explorers, so it has that going for it. And it's also in 3D. So if you like thrillers, this is one of the upcoming movies of February 2011 you'll likely want to see (I'm just hoping that the movie has some breathtaking shots of the beauty that can be found in underwater caves).

Top 10 Best Upcoming Movies of February 2011: February 11, 2011 Release Date

Gnomeo and Juliet - This is one of the best family-friendly upcoming movies of February 2011, and it hits theaters just in time for Valentine's Day. It's basically the tale of Romeo and Juliet retold in a world of garden gnomes that come alive when we aren't looking (so nice to see Amelie's globe-trotting friend also found love!), and it features the music of Elton John, as well as the voice talents of fellow musicians Ozzy Osbourne and Dolly Parton (I'd love to hear a collaboration between those three). Of course it is to be hoped that this tale of lawn love has a happier ending than Shakespeare's classic.

Just Go With It - If you're planning on seeing a movie for Valentine's Day, get tickets to this one early, because it's one of the only upcoming movies of February 2011 pandering to the romcom crowd. Adam Sandler stars as a guy who pretends to be married to pick up chicks, however, he ends up having to take his little lie much further to fool his dream girl (Brooklyn Decker) into thinking that he's the perfect guy. And so he enlists his office assistant (Jennifer Aniston) and her kids to play the fictional family that's he's about to break up with a faux divorce. It could fail miserably or be funny, but at least it does have Nicole Kidman also attaching her name to it going for it.

The Eagle - Here's one of the best upcoming movies of February 2011 for fans of period action flicks, with Channing Tatum starring as a Roman soldier trying to solve the mystery of the disappearance of his father's Ninth Legion. And so he sets out with a slave (Jamie Bell) who might not be as subservient as he seems on a quest for the truth. If you like watching movies about battles with your bros, then you'll definitely want to check this one out.

Top 10 Best Upcoming Movies of February 2011: February 18, 2011 Release Date

I Am Number Four - At first this seems like one of the best upcoming movies of 2011 for the sci-fi crowd, seeing as how it's about aliens and all, but when you turn those aliens into teens played by the likes of Alex Pettyfer and Dianna Agron, is fairly obvious that this film is trying to become the next big thing with the teens. It's basically about nine aliens hiding out on Earth from the rival species that destroyed their planet. Unfortunately, they still aren't safe among us Earthlings. It definitely won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I'm interested to see just where this one goes.

Unknown - Here's one of the best upcoming movies of February 2011 for those that enjoy mystery-thrillers with plenty of plot twists. Liam Neeson stars as a doctor whose wife (January Jones) doesn't recognize him after the couple is involved in a car crash. And to make matters worse, another man (Adrian Quinn) has stolen his identity. Things get even stranger when he is targeted by a group of mysterious assassins and aided by an unlikely ally (Diane Kruger) during his quest to get his life back. With such an amazing cast and a plot that could keep you on the edge of your seat, this is definitely one of the best upcoming movies of February 2011 worth checking out.

Top 10 Best Upcoming Movies of February 2011: February 25, 2011 Release Date

Drive Angry - The plot in this 3D film is just so wacky that it could actually be entertaining: Nicholas Cage stars as a felon who goes on a bloody chase to stop the cult that murdered his daughter from sacrificing her baby. Amber Heard and her muscle-car aid the man on mission to stop these minions of Devil, and a somewhat supernatural element adds to all of the crazy that could actually make this worth watching (I'm kind of hoping it's like "Machete" meets "Two Lane Blacktop").

Hall Pass - Farrelly brother fans, rejoice! The directors of some of the most immature movies Hollywood has ever seen are back, and they're taking on middle age. Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis are two guys who drive their wives (Jenna Fisher and Christina Applegate) crazy with their constant gawking at other women. So the ladies come up with an interesting solution: they give their guys a hall pass for a week to do whatever (well, more like whomever) they want. Their thinking here is that their men will fail miserably at making any conquests and realize just how lucky they are (and of course the ladies also get to have some fun of their own). And so this is definitely one of the best upcoming funny movies of February 2011 for married couples, although ladies might have to talk their own guys out of the horrible idea of a hall pass.

So from the funny to the fast and furious, there's something fun for everyone to be found in the upcoming films of February 2011.
