Breakfast is my favorite meal! With so many great eateries to choose from, I finally broke down my list of the best breakfast joints in the Mile High City of Denver.

1. Snooze (North Downtown - Ballpark)
2262 Larimer St, Denver, CO 80205
(303) 297-0700
www.snoozeeatery.com
Mon-Fri: 6:30am-2:30pm, Sat-Sun: 7am-2:30pm

My favorite breakfast joint in all of Denver is Snooze! Everything on their menu is great, the staff is super friendly, and the interior design of this breakfast spot is hip and comfortable. Get there early for breakfast! After 8:30am on the weekends, there's a line out the door. No need to fret - if there's no table available, then you can grab a cup of free coffee right by the door and hangout.

Recommended Breakfast: Juan's Breakfast Tacos, Ham Benedict III, and the Pancake of the Day is always superb.

2. Lucile's Creole Café (Southwest)
275 S Logan St, Denver, CO 80209-1812
(303) 282-6258
www.luciles.com
Mon-Fri: 7am-2pm, Sat-Sun: 8am-2pm

Good southern food is hard to find in Denver, but Lucile's by far has the best! Get there early, because once 9:00am rolls around, there's usually a line. Luckily, with a bar right by the door, patrons can grab a drink while they wait for a table.

Recommended Breakfast: Carlin Country, Eggs Rockefeller, and Pain Perdu. Also, for a breakfast appetizer order the Beignets (New Orleans style donuts).

3. Trompeau Bakery (DU)
1729 East Evans Avenue
Denver, CO 80210-4601
(303) 777-7222
Open Mon-Sat (closed on Sundays)

The one thing Denver lacks in is amazing bakeries. Thankfully this Mile High City has the best bakery I have ever been to in my life - I kid you not. With owner Pascal being from France, and with his family by his side, Trompeau Bakery serves the best pastries in town.

Highly Recommended Breakfast: Apricot Danish, Raspberry Chocolate Croissant, and everything else!

4. Crepes N' Crepes (Downtown)
1512 Larimer St, Denver, CO
(303) 534-1620

Sitting at one of their cozy small tables, this downtown restaurant transports you to Paris, France. With their French speaking waiters and waitresses and amazing crepes, it's hard not to love this Denver gem.

5. Steuben's (Uptown)
523 East 17th Avenue
Denver, CO 80203-1329
(303) 830-1001
www.steubens.com
Mon-Thurs: 11am-11pm, Fri: 11am-12am, Sat :10am-12am, Sun: 10am-11pm

This hip, modern 1950's style restaurant serves up breakfast on the weekends at 10:00am with some of best wait staff in town.

Recommended Breakfast: egg-in-a-hole - it's to die for! Also, they make some killer cheese grits and breakfast burrito.

6. Paris on the Platte Cafe (Highland)
1553 Platte Street
Denver, CO 80202
(303) 455-2451
www.parisontheplatte.com
Mon-Thurs: 7am-1am, Fri: 7am-3am, Sat: 8am-3am, Sun: 8am-1am

With Paris on the Platte being the oldest coffee house in Denver, this breakfast joint knows how to serve amazing food with the perfect cup of Joe.

Recommended Breakfast: Venice Benny and a Cappuccino

7. Bump & Grind (Uptown)
439 E 17th Ave
Denver, CO 80202
(303) 861-4841

B&G doesn't necessarily have the very best food (although their food is good), but they by far have the very best early morning entertainment. Sunday mornings this eatery opens its beautiful doors at 10am and starts to entertain the crowd in drag - yes, you heard me right, men in drag. Doesn't get any better than this on a Sunday morning!

8. Moe's Broadway Bagels (Southwest)
550 Grant St
Denver, CO 80203
www.moesbagel.com

If you need a quick breakfast, Moe's is the place to go. Located right off of Speer and Grant, this bagel shop has the very best bagels in the city - plus excellent sandwiches. With their hippy hipster staff, Moe's has great service, great food, and big smiles.

Recommended Breakfast: Italian bagel with chive cream cheese.

9. Annie's Café (Congress Park)

3100 E Colfax Ave
Denver, CO 80206
(303) 355-8197
www.annies-cafe.com
Mon-Fri: 7am-10pm, Sat-Sun: 8am-10pm

This 1950's style restaurant off of Colfax has the best French Toast in town!

Recommended Breakfast: French Toast

10. Pete's Kitchen (Cheeseman Park)

1962 East Colfax Avenue
Denver, CO 80206-1302
(303) 321-3139
www.petesrestaurants.com

Granted I usually hit up this breakfast joint at 2:00am after the bars close, Pete's Kitchen still holds a place in my heart to make the top 10 list. No matter if you're like me and eating breakfast super late, or cruising Colfax in the morning, this restaurant has some of the best breakfast in town.
