Top 10 Celebrities that Party in 2009

Some of these celebrities were hitting the clubs and the red carpets as a means to satisfy their addictions-to booze, drugs, and fame. Others were highly visible because America couldn't get enough of them. For 2009, in no particular order here is the list.

1. Paris Hilton. The perennial partier, she has made a business around partying. She is an internationally known name getting paid to attend clubs and events from the US to Australia. There is no major event that this girl isn't at, and even if she wasn't invited she is guaranteed to be at the pre or post parties.
2. Lindsay Lohan. Another one that has stayed on the list for the past several years, with not more acting work in the pipeline, Lindsay has really stayed in the public eye for her personal life (including her lesbian relationship with club DJ Samantha Ronson) and her partying.
3. Taylor Swift. Miss 2009, she won entertainer of the year at the country music awards, female video of the year at the VMA's, the top selling new artist of the year, and had a sold out North American tour. The country/pop crossover isn't the boozy mess Lohan may be, but there was no doubt this girl missed very few public outings in 2009.
4. Lady Gaga. The NYC club girl made it big in 2009, also performing and appearing at all types of events from museum gala's to the MTV VMA's. Much like Swift, Lady Gaga was another artist America couldn't get enough of this year.
5. The Kardashians. With two E! Reality TV shows, youngest sister Khloe making her own wedding a two hour reality TV extravaganza, and Kourtney making her out of web lock pregnancy front page by giving interviews to the tabloids, the Kardashians were America's 2009 reality stars we love to hate. These girls love to party so much, even sister Kourtney's baby shower was said to be a more lavish affair than Khloe's E! Wedding to a 33 million dollar basketball player.
6. The Jacksons. Joe, Jermaine, and Latoya took the death of their brother and son as a reason to appear at every party, on every red carpet, and at every industry event. For the younger generations that may not have been familiar with the lesser-known Jacksons, they made sure they changed that quickly.
7. Levi Johnston. The guy who became famous for knocking up his teenage girlfriend, he made sure to capitalize on those fifteen minutes of fame. As soon as his once soon to be mother in law, Sarah Palin, lost the bid to become the Vice President of the USA he took US by storm. He started it by appearing at the Teen Choice Awards on the red carpet with Kathy Griffin as his date. Next thing you knew he was at the GQ award and now as the centerfold of the who-knew-it-still-existed Playgirl magazine.
8. Speidi. Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montage-Pratt captured the attention of the non Hill's demographic appearing on I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here as their normal, obnoxious selves. These two never miss a chance to attend a party, set up impromptu bizarre shots for the paparazzi and even writing their own book on how to become famous.
9. Jon Gosselin. The man once loved as America's best father and husband took a 180 this year from doting father of eight to party animal. He started dating inappropriate women, from his wife's plastic surgeon's 22-year-old daughter, to a Star Magazine "reporter". He showed up at Las Vegas casino's simply to party and on red carpet for a TLC family man to be on. The second he got out of the grips of overbearing wife Kate, this man went wild.
10. Amy Winehouse. Another celebrity whose personal life overcame that of her talent. Her drug and alcohol use has become tabloid and blog staples including interviews with her parents about her drug usage. She owns her own nightclub in London and attended rehab in June of 2009 and at the age of 26 was diagnosed with early-stage emphysema from her chain smoking and crack cocaine use
