There is never a shortage of celebrity scandals, whether it be drug use, affairs or sexually explicit photos. Here are the top 10 celebrity scandals of the decade.

Dave Letterman
In 2009 Dave Letterman admitted on his show to an affair with one of his staffers. Rather than complying with a hefty 2 million dollar blackmail demand, Letterman sought the help of the police. Although his preemptive move of announcing the affair and blackmail scheme helped it to settle down rather quickly, this still qualifies as one of the top 10 celebrity scandals.

Rush Limbaugh
Throughout this past decade he has faced repeated scandal related to his drug use. He admitted in 2003 that he was addicted to prescription painkillers. He was then investigated in the years to follow for possessing prescription drugs that were not in his name and for doctor shopping. He later agreed to go into therapy and pay a settlement in exchange for the charges being dropped.

Tiger Woods
After being involved in a mystery single car crash, it came out that golf pro Tiger Woods had affairs with multiple women. His image as an all American athlete and family man has been tarnished. It is still yet to be seen how this scandal will impact his marriage, his numerous sponsorships and product endorsements.

Jon and Kate Gosselin
The parents of the hit reality show Jon and Kate Plus Eight, are divorcing. This top 10 celebrity scandal is alleged to be due to Jon's extramarital affairs. Production of the show has since been halted because Jon has voiced concern about the affect the filming has on his children. Or is it because TLC was going to limit his screen time.

Chris Brown
It was shocking when the details came to light in this top 10 celebrity scandal. In 2009, Chris Brown faced domestic violence charges for allegedly punching and biting, his singer girlfriend Rihanna. He has since pled guilty to the charges and was sentenced to community service, completing a domestic violence program and 5 years probation.

Michael Vick
This onetime star quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons was convicted of federal charges in 2007, stemming from an interstate dog fighting ring. He served 18 months in prison and was released from the Falcons. He now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. This scandal lost him major endorsements and Vick ended up filing for bankruptcy.

Kate Moss
In 2005 photos of this supermodel allegedly snorting cocaine were published in British tabloids. Kate lost millions in modeling contracts with Burberry, Chanel and several others. Luckily she made it through this top 10 celebrity scandal with support from friends like Catherine Deneuve, Johnny Depp and she continued to model for Dior.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie
Jennifer Anniston and Brad Pitt divorced in 2005. Many speculated that this was due to an affair between Brad and Angelina, after having met while making the movie Mr & Mrs Smith. They denied the affair but it was released that they were having a child soon after Brad and Jennifer's divorce was final.

R. Kelly
This top 10 celebrity scandal had to do with a sex tape involving an underage girl. This is not the first time R. Kelly had accused of being involved with a minor. There had been rumors of a marriage to the then 15 year old singer Aaliyah. In 2002 a sex tape was alleged to show R. Kelly having sex with a 14 year old girl. He denied it and after being indicted and the case going to trial, R. Kelly was acquitted of all charges.

Martha Stewart
In 2004, the celebrity scandal involving home decorating and food guru, Martha Stewart landed her in federal prison for 5 months. Martha was convicted of several charges including obstruction and conspiracy. This scandal only temporarily affected her career, her product lines and TV ventures are doing well.
