Top 10 Christians Resolutions for the New Year

Josue Rodriguez
Life is short, we all know that. But what are we going to do in this next year to make a difference to change our life. Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest to achieve. So in this New Year, we all have to make important decisions, and ask ourselves what we want to achieve. Promises are just promises, and most of the times we fail to accomplish them and give the same excuses. I don't have time or I was so busy this year.

It will take more than simple resolutions to change our lives; we all need a commitment of change, and don't make a promise to God that you are not going to accomplish. The following simple resolutions can renew and enrich your life. It is possible that some of these resolutions are difficult to perform, but the results will definitely be worth the effort.

1 - Read the entire Bible this year. And have a good reference book to help in points difficult to discourage.

2 - Pray more this year. If we talk with God, He will listen carefully and respond in a specific manner. We have to stop trying to live life without help from anyone. Bring your thoughts, praise, concerns and requests to God every morning, He always listen and know what is best for us.

3 - Restore a broken relationship. Forgive those who need to forgive. Offer them the love of Jesus and heal an old conflict.

4 - Take a vacation. We need to take a break and rest our minds. Please! Even God rested the seventh day!

5 - If you are a married person, dedicate at least one day of the month to have a romantic dinner with your partner. You can wake up every day in the same house, but with so many distractions, it is easy to treat your husband or wife as a co-worker. Take a day to give your partner the close attention it deserves.

6 - Offer to serve as a volunteer at a service organization in your community. Move closer to your neighbors this year to serve in some way.

7 - Read a family health, Christian life, or motivational book. Sometimes we waste a lot of time waiting for hours in the doctor's office just looking at magazines. Read one, read two there is no limit, just read.

8 - Contact a friend or family which has had no news in a long time. Maybe the hardest part is finding his phone number, but you can ask someone. When you find them, just start by asking: "How have you been?"

9 - Visit a new place that you never have been, like a museum. There is a museum for almost all things! Take a day to devote entirely to something that interests you.

10 - This is not the less important for being at last, I think is the most important. Share the Gospel. That is the reason we are in this land. Make a priority for you this year to share the good news of salvation with those who do not know Christ.
