Top 10 Christmas Movies for Kids

'Tis the Season

Shelly
As Andy Williams proclaimed: "It's the most wonderful time of the year", yes, Christmas is soon upon us. Bringing moments of family, joy, compassion and the warmth of innocence. Remembering our childhoods and perhaps creating new memories with ours we await the annual holiday television celebration of Christmas Movies for kids, these are my kids and my favorite 10:

1. The Polar Express
("At one time, most of my friends could hear the bell, but as years passed, it fell silent for all of them. Even Sarah found one Christmas that she could no longer hear its sweet sound. Though I've grown old, the bell still rings for me, as it does for all who truly believe".)
What better way to instill values in our children than with the gift of hope.

2. A Charlie Brown Christmas
("MERRY CHRISTMAS, CHARLIE BROWN!")
The best gift we can exchange amongst one another is the gift is endearing patience.

3. Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas
("Welcome, Christmas, bring your cheer. Cheer to all Whos far and near. Christmas Day is in our grasp so long as we have hands to clasp. Christmas Day will always be just as long as we have we. Welcome Christmas while we stand, heart to heart and hand in hand.")
Even in our darkest hour we see a bright morning ahead with the kindness of simply one friend.

4. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
("Could it be that some of you are not acquainted with the story of Rudolph? Well pull up an ice block and lend an ear.")
A story that will continue to be passed down through time itself, the real measure of a spirit is within.

5. The Santa Clause
("Seeing isn't believing. Believing is seeing.")
Never a more accurate quote in my opinion next to "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Clause!".

6. A Christmas Story
("You'll shoot your eye out!")
Never give up on your dreams, no matter the obstacle.

7. A Christmas Carol
("It is a fair, even-handed, noble adjustment of things, that while there is infection in disease and sorrow, there is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good-humour.")
Christmas isn't about what we can receive yet, Christmas is about the blessings we extend to others.

9. White Christmas
("I'm dreaming of a White Christmas")
Surrounded by the people we care for is the best place we could be during this blessed time of the year.

10. It's A Wonderful Life
(""Look, Daddy. Teacher says, every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.")
Angels walk amongst us everyday of our lives they merely disguise themselves steadily watching over and guiding.

May you believe in the magic this Christmas and all through the coming year.
