If you are a truly value conscientious shopper, then you are probably still looking for something even cheaper, and fortunately for you there is something, but only for those who live nearby a large city. Call around and find your local PC recycling center, there are many recycling centers and one of the most common is E-cycle.
Once you have found a recycling Center, call to inquire about a computer. Often times you can get a comparable computer to those on this list through a local recycler at half the cost. Finally if you have not been able to find one cheaper and your budget simply can't handle $50-$100, but you just have to have a computer. There are multiple computers for students, or computers for seniors programs on the internet, which will give you a computer for free.
Sometimes it will require you to take a couple of classes on using the computer, and put in a few hours of community service at their location, but for a free computer it's well worth it.
