Top 10 Facebook Applications

MySpace at one time seemed much more popular than Facebook. But lately, I've noticed that Facebook is much more people-friendly than MySpace is, especially on applications. I really like the Facebook applications better as they allow you to associate more with your friends and application friends. FB applications allow you to "publish" your applications through your profile too, so friends can play along!

This list is my top 10 favorite Facebook applications. Your list may vary from mine, but I find the following applications to be the most fun!

1 - Causes application - You can join causes to help make a difference, by bringing attention to important causes, by donating, or recruiting people. My favorite causes on the cause application are: Shriners Hospital for Children, Keep God in Schools, Education Fun for Homeless and Underprivileged Children, Society Against Child Abuse, Support the Troops, Susan G. Komen for the Cure North Texas Affiliate, Keep Sex Offenders Off the Internet, Cure for Leukemia, and Amber Alert. Add this application to help make a difference by joining, inviting, or donating to the cause. Just joining shows your support and helps to make our world a better place! There are many, many other causes besides the ones I have listed. Find some causes that are close to your heart and join, or create your own cause!

Shriner's Hospital for Children is my featured cause on the Causes application on Facebook. They are currently at 11,765 members. MISSION: Shriners Hospitals for Children specializes in treating children with orthopaedic conditions, burn injuries, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate. This includes, but is not limited to orthopaedic and neuromusculoskeletal conditions such as scoliosis, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, club foot, missing, amputated, or deficient limbs; treatment of severe burns and healed burns; spinal cord rehabilitation, and treatment of cleft lip and palate. Shriners Hospitals for Children also specializes in research and education in the pediatric orthopaedic, burn and spinal cord injury fields. Please join this important cause!

2 We're Related application - This Facebook application allows you to create and keep in touch with those in your family tree. Find relatives, add relatives, create your tree and family stream now!

3 Sorority Life application - Become a part of Sorority Life to collect glam, socialize in events, create your style, view the catwalk and in-crowd, get a job to support your shopping, fight other houses to gain money and influence points, and show your sisters some love! This application is really the most fun of all games, in my opinion! Especially for those who love to glam up (clothes, cars, accessories, and to "socialize" with your sisters! Grow your house with the help of your Facebook friends, who become your "sorority sisters". This game is so much fun and is actually addicting! It's that much fun! Strut your stuff, raid your closet, support your lifestyle, and shop 'til you drop! If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, add the Sorority Life application!

4 Farm Town application - This FB application is lots of fun! Add this application to create your own cartoon avatar. Then, you get to create and manage your own farm by plowing fields, planting crops, and harvesting. You can also add Farm Town neighbors, sell crops at the marketplace, buy houses, seeds, buildings, fences, animals, and everything you need to set up your own virtual farm! This game is so much fun that it will be hard to stop playing! Best of all you can plant 2-hour crops, 1 days crops, 2 day crops, 3-4 crops - whichever one you have the time for. Then you can earn coins by planting, harvesting, selling, and by tending neighbors farms!

5 Mafia Wars application - Once you've added this application you get to grow your Mafia to help aid you in fights. It is a fun game that is not to be taken too seriously. most people don't so it's fun. Visit the Godfather with reward points, get a virtual job to increase your weaponry and income, buy properties, collect weapons, declare war, and more. This game was made by Zynga and is so fun! Add your FB friends to grow your "My Mafia" into the toughest virtual Mafia of all!

6 Yo Ville application - If you like designing houses this is the application for you! Once you add this application you can create your own virtual home and then decorate it by using Yo cash and coins. Every six hours you can "clock in" for your "job" to earn free coins to decorate with. Add your Facebook friends and visit there place to earn more free coins. The more you play the higher level you get and the more free virtual stuff you get awarded! This APP is so much fun and doesn't require a bunch of time to do!

7 Farm Ville application - This application is very similar to Farm Town, in that you plow, plant, and harvest in order to achieve more coins and grow your farm bigger. Unlike Farm Town, this application allows you to virtually purchase a bigger farm, hence more crops, more space, more coin! This application is not as fun as Farm Town, however you can harvest, plant, and plow at a much faster rate than on Farm Town. You also get to buy tractors and harvesting machines as you get more experience points. Decorate your farm now by adding this application to Facebook.

8 Send a Round application- Send a round of drinks to your best buddies by adding this application! Earn coins for each drink consumed and for each drink you consume. Increase your "generosity" by sending drinks more often. This game of course, if only for those old enough to legally drink, and this application will block any drinks you might accidentally send to those underage. This game allows you to quick and easily increase your friends buzz! The point of this game is to not be sober!

9 Pirates: Rule the Caribbean - Sounds cool, huh!? Create your own island, complete missions, fight, collect armory to defeat those who attack you, collect properties, help you friends on their islands, and more! Why,'cause being a pirate is fun, arrr!

10 Street Racing application - For those of you who love cars and racing - this is the application for you! Create your own crew, race, challenge other cars, recruit your friends, shop for the hottest (and fastest) cars, send free gifts to your friends to increase the power of your crew, and more! The more races you win the higher the level you get, the more money you have to collect cars and buy properties that allow your virtual income to collect more!
