There's nothing like watching funny families on television to bring some comic relief to our own lives. Motherhood can be tough. Let's face it. Parenthood can be tough! Life just seems easier when you can laugh at other moms and dads making some of the same mistakes we make. We found exactly that! Check out our top 10 funniest TV families of all time. It's a list of some of today's and yesterday's favorite funny families.

The Cosby Family

Who can imagine life without the Cosbys? The long running Cosby show gave us plenty to laugh at. The Huxtable family was large and loving. Dr. Cliff Huxtable was played by Bill Cosby and his lovely wife Claire's role was filled by Phylicia Rashad. The children were Rudy, Vanessa, Denise, Sondra and Theo. The show ran from 1984 to 1992 and featured America's first show about an affluent African American family. This funny family made our list because they inspired us. We loved them and cheered them on through all their good times and tough ones too. We miss you Cosbys!

The Bundys

Peg, Al, Bud and Kelly Bundy were the family you loved to watch but never wanted to be a part of. The series called Married With Children featured a disenchanted Al, who failed continually at just about everything especially parenting. Nominated for 7 Golden Globes, the Bundys made us laugh every week with their sad attempts at being a loving unit. They never quite made it, but we laughed all the way. The Bundys began in 1987 and gave us ten funny years.

The Simpsons

Still running today, the Simpsons changed animation and they way we look at families. Bad boy Bart was the star of the show, but Homer, Marge, Lisa and Maggie all made an impression on us. Bart's attempts to take short cuts through adolescence got him in constant trouble, a trait he got from his slacker dad, Homer. Living near and working at a nuclear power plant, this family had lots of political things to say at the same time making us smile. They are number three on our top 10 funniest TV families of all time.

The Addams Family

They creeped us out but they were a great family to watch. Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley got into to some interesting scrapes as they blended into 'normal society'. Uncle Fester, Lurch and Grandmama made this show worth laughing at. Ahead of it's time, the Addams Family first appeared in 1964. We loved the Addams Family!

The Stephens Family

Wouldn't motherhood be so much easier if we all could wiggle our noses and fix life's problems? That's why we loved Bewitched. Samantha (Elizabeth Montgomery) Darrin and Tabitha Stevens created comedy magic every week on this funny show. Depsite a few Darrin changes, we loved this great comedy show!

The Davis Family

It was called Family Affair and it first aired in 1966. Charming bachelor, Bill Davis played by Brian Keith, 'inherits' his deceased brother's family and with the instant family came a great show. Twins Jody and Buffy and the older sister Cissy who was a teenager. We loved this family down to Mrs. Beasley, Buffy's doll and the cool butler, Giles.

The Seavers

1985 brought us one of television's best, most loved family comedies, Growing Pains. This show launched the career of Kirk Cameron who played the son, Mike. Dr. Jason Seaver, the father was played by TV veteran Alan Thicke. Joanna Kerns was Maggie (Mom) Seaver and Tracey Gold played Carol the younger sister. The cast was rounded out with Jeremy Miller as young Ben Seaver. This eighties comedy family gave us lots to laugh at as they managed their families struggles.

The Tanners

Full House hit the airways in 1987 and became a huge hit. The Olsen twins, Mary Kate and Ashley were the small stars on this show. This show featured a blended family of siblings and their cousins. This interesting premise gave family night a happy touch. John Stamos played Jesse Katsopolis. Bob Saget was the widower Danny Tanner who had three daughters, DJ, Stephanie and Michelle. Full House was a lovable show that made our top ten favs!

The Bradfords

Eight is Enough played from 1977 to 1981 but made a lasting impression on the way TV families are played. This wasn't your dyed in the wool family, this was a family full of step children, siblings and all of their friends. Dick Van Patten played Tom Bradford. He married twice, first to Joan and then to Abby. This show had some heavy episodes but mainly stuck to the comedy. Memorable actors in this show was Willie Ames, Adam Rich, Susan Richardson and Betty Buckley.

The Munsters

At first glance you might have thought, the Addams Family, again? But not so! The Munsters although equally weird had a unique twist to it. The only 'normal character' was Marilyn Munster who was made to feel she was the oddball because she was so pretty. We loved dad, Herman (Fred Gwynne) mom, Lily (Yvonne DiCarlo). Who can forget Grandpa played by Al Lewis as well as Little Eddie played by Butch Patrick. The Munsters only played for a couple of years but they made our top ten because of their cool weirdness.
