Top 10 Games for XBox 360 in 2008

Zacharoo
Looking for some great games to get for your XBox 360 console? Maybe you're looking for ideas for some Christmas gifts this year? No worries, I have the perfect list for you right here. I must note though, if you are looking for the sissy "party" games like the ones for Wii, you're looking in the wrong spot. Anyways, here we go!

1. Gears of War 2

A long awaited game, GoW2 is the (obvious) sequel to the highly reviewed and adored Gears of War. This game contains lots of action and a superb storyline. I must warn though, this game has a lot of violence, not recommended for children. (Shooter)

2. Grand Theft Auto IV

This is another extremely violent game not recommended children. But you knew that already, right? GTA IV expands on nearly every aspect of the previous GTA games, and definitely improves upon them. This game was given a perfect 10 review by nearly every gaming review mag. (Action/Adventure)

3. Fallout 3

OK, so at this point you may be asking, "Will this guy ever get to games appropriate for children?" Let me tell you, the answer is probably not... So, yeah. Anyways, among the many sequels that were released this year, Fallout 3 comes in at #3. As you may have guessed, Fallout takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. You can play in either first-person or a third-person perspective. (Role-Playing)

4. Dead Space

In this shooter, you play as an engineer (what, an engineer? don't worry, this engineer is killer...) stuck on a space ship fighting off alien scum. Sounds like your typical shooter, but the scare factor in this game is amazing. Sometimes, the aliens will disguise themselves at dead crew, and will attack as you pass by. Definitely not for the faint of heart. (Sci-fi Shooter)

5. Call of Duty: World at War

The Call of Duty series has been running for quite a while now, and is recognized by most gamers. The COD games are highly adored, and World At War is no exception. These games allow for even the nerdiest of nerds to get their war on, and they love it. Don't believe me, just check out comments left on youtube about guns and COD, you'll see. World at War returns to WWII and takes us back to fighting the Japanese. While, the WWII fighting has been overdone a bit, COD does manage to add a few things, and improve upon the action a bit. Definitely worth your time. (First-person shooter).

6. Left 4 Dead

The zombie games have also been a bit overdone here lately, but Left 4 Dead manages to bring back life (err, so to speak) into the zombie experience. While the single-player experience is great, you will definitely want to play this game with some friends, cause the multi-player experience is awesome! (Sc-fi First-person Shooter)

7. Far Cry 2

Far Cry 2 is a huge game. It takes place in Africa where you are a mercenary. This is not a game to finish in a couple of hours. The negative part of this game is that you have to walk...alot. Still, the visuals are quite spectacular. (First-person Shooter)

8. Battlefield: Bad Company

The cover with the smiley face on a grenade says it all. This is not your typical war game, as you are part of a misfit company of soldiers left behind by the Army. This game has lots of humor and action. This is definitely a game to pick up off the shelf. (First-person Shooter)

9. Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

Another shooter war game. While this is a shooter, the game also requires you to use some leadership skills to get your squad through the game. This is a typical Brothers in Arms game, and follows the past games stories. So if you've never played another Brothers in Arms, you might be a little confused with the story, but it's OK. (First-person Shooter)

10. Army of Two

This game requires a lot of co-op play. In fact, this game was meant to be played with a friend. Though the political story may be a bit "out there" the game still plays great. There is plenty of action, and the aggro system incorporated into the game works great. Don't expect the co-op to be easy though. (Shooter)
