1. Body fat weight scale. A digital body fat weight scale is a great gift for the health nut. Some scales will even measure body water percentage, keep track of weight, and store information on two or more users.
2. Heart rate monitor. Health nuts know that the only way to strengthen heart muscle is by having the heart operate at a certain target peak output per minute. A heart rate monitor can measure heartbeats per minute, calories burned, and more.
3. Stainless steel water bottle. Every health nut probably has one or two water bottles. But with the current worries over plastic compounds leaking into drinking water, a stainless steel water bottle may be the best choice for your health nut.
4. Resistance bands. As an alternative to bulky weights or workouts at the gym, resistance bands or tubes are light, compact, and portable. And best of all, they are also quite inexpensive. Your health nut can use resistance bands to build muscle and coordination in the comfort of his or her home.
5. Exercise ball. An exercise ball can be used to strengthen core muscle groups, for stretching, and even as an ergonomic chair. Most exercise balls can be bought for under $20 and come with their own hand pump.
6. Yoga mat. Yoga is a great way to improve physical and mental stamina, calm the nerves, and improve focus. For the health nut who is into yoga, a new yoga mat will be well appreciated.
7. Running stopwatch. For the health nut who likes to run, a running stopwatch is a great gift. Today's running stopwatches not only keep track of running time, but often contain a GPS and heart rate monitor too.
8. Nintendo Wii Fit™ Plus. If you really want to splurge on your health nut, consider buying him or her the Nintendo Wii™ gaming console with the Wii Fit™ Plus software. This fitness software changes exercise into a fun game that can be performed indoors and at any time.
9. Smoothie blender. Healthy smoothies are an essential part of the health nut's diet. A good quality smoothie blender, therefore, will definitely be used. You can purchase a top-of-the-line Vita-Mix smoothie maker or a more moderately priced Oster blender.
10. Pedometer. Health nuts can work off excess calories and weight by walking the extra mile or two. Pedometers are very inexpensive, and will last for many years.

Som of these gifts sound practical for sane people too.
Good ideas. My husband wants to be a health nut. Well, he wants to be thinner, anyway.
Wow, these are all excellent ideas! By the way, pedometers are *supposed* to last for years, but I keep dropping and breaking mine.
Great ideas. Thanks..
