Top 10 Graduation Songs for 2009

There are so many songs that are wonderful for the occasion of graduation , whether it be from high school or college. I had a hard time narrowing the list down to just ten songs , so I decided to pick songs with specific messages that can help graduates on their journey.

"I Love College" by newcomer to the music scene Asher Roth. This song embodies everything wonderful about college , well except for the whole obtaining a degree and knowledge thing . It will bring back the memories of beer pong and dancing your face off at campus parties for college grads and give the incoming freshman something to look forward to other than gaining the freshman 15.

"Git Up Git Out" by Outkast ft. Goodie Mobb . This song let's you know that whatever you want in life do not be afraid to go after it , don't let life pass you by . This song is available on Outkast's 1994 album titled Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik.

"Lose Yourself" by Eminem. The world would be a better place if people got lost in the moment occasionally . You need to seize the opportunities life makes available to you . The song is available on the 2002 album titled The 8 Mile Soundtrack.

"Good Riddance(Time of Your Life)"by Greenday. A song to reminisce over the choices made and the fun times that were had. The song is available on their 1997 album titled Nimrod.

"We Made It" by Busta Rhymes ft. Linkin Park . This song symbolizes the end of the struggle and the journey graduation is finally in your sights.

"Stronger" by Kanye West . This song echoes advice I received after graduation . What does not kill you only makes you stronger . When faced with a challenge remember that tidbit and persevere. This song is available on his 2007 cd Homecoming.

"Shoot Down the Stars" by Gym Class Heroes. This song reminds you to stick to your game plan and do not compromise your future and dreams for anyone . It is available on their 2006 album As Cruel As School Children.

"Everybody's Free(To Wear Sunscreen)" by Baz Lurhmann. Sunscreen is important . This song is full of helpful advice just play this song and you can skip all graduation day speeches.

"Graduation Day" by Kanye West . The title pretty much sums up the song . It talks about how it is hard to graduate and transition into another section of your life . It is featured on his 2004 album College Drop Out.

"I Will Remember You " by Sarah McLachlan. Friends are important throughout life. You will never forget the people who you have met on your journey through life.
