Top 10 Halloween Books for Adults

Must Reads for the Season!

Derrick St. James
The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury
I read this book during last Halloween season, and it truley is a masterpiece and surprisingly not more famous. Although it is a children's book (or maybe YA) it certainly is a corner piece to Halloween lit.

Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
A book about Autumn and ghouls and goblins and carnivals--can't get better than this.

Desperation by Stephen King
Deserves to be on the list simply because it is scarier than all-get-out!

Watchers by Dean Koontz
Probably the best by Dean Koontz--a must read with some great chills.

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
Be prepared to read this over a long time--it is not a fast read, but is very disturbing and ascetetic

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving
What more could you ask for on Halloween? Headless horseman, witches, and spooks!

Relic By Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
I read this as a kid and it scared the living daylights out of me!

Dracula by Bram Stoker
Probably my favorite classic work, and for all of you vampire romance lovers out there--you need to go to the source material, because it is world's better!

Frankenstein by Mary Shelly
Another great work of art--scary but very insightful

Salem's Lot by Stephen King
One of my favorite books of all time and a great ode' to the season.

And as always, I've got to promote my book: This Side of Eden. It's getting some pretty good reviews and I think you'll like it!
Have a happy Halloween!
