Top 10 Interior Design Blogs

Penny Laine
I am currently in the process of buying a house so I find myself searching the internet for interior design ideas on a daily basis. I want to share with you some of my favorite interior design blogs that I have found in this process. Maybe they will help you decorate your home, or maybe they will just provide you with a little bit of eye candy... Here are my 10 favorite interior design blogs:

House of Turquoise is one of my favorite interior design blogs because it is full of interior design photographs that feature my favorite color for homes which is a variety of blues ("turquoise... and teal, robin's egg blue, aqua, sky blue, seafoam green, ocean blue"). Everything isn't blue, but most of the photos include at least a small splash of it. It's updated regularly and is full of some really gorgeous photographs.

Decorology is one of my all time favorite interior design and decorating blogs. I find myself going back constantly to find more photographs for inspiration for my home. This blog is updated really regularly and is FULL of photographs of beautiful home interiors.

Marley & Lockyer is an amazing interior design blog. It is updated on a regular basis and always features great interior design photographs. I have found many inspiring photos from this blog that I plan on using in my own home. She also has a long list of great links to other interior design blogs on the side panel of her blog.

Daisy Pink Cupcake is another great interior design blog. Sometimes she strays from interior design and dabbles in food and fashion, but for the most part, this blog is filled with amazing interior design photographs. Very feminine and beautiful and it is updated regularly.

The Deco Detective is great because this blog features amazing interior design photographs and a really good variety of styles are featured. Lots of variety and regularly updated.

First Home is updated really regularly. The posts are almost all just photographs and there is hardly ever any text included. If you just want to browse through some photographs to get some interior design ideas, this is a good blog to check out.

The Design Geek by HGTV's Angelo Surmelis posts amazing design ideas, but he also posts many other entries that are not interior design related. So if you have time to sift through other blog entries that are not interior design related, you should still check The Design Geek out.

Modern Urban Living does not fully qualify as an interior design blog in my eyes because it does not show pictures of full rooms which is what I look for in interior design blogs. If you are an artsy person, this blog is filled with truly unique items that will spice up your home.

decor8 is a pretty popular interior design blog. There are great ideas here and I know that tons of people like it, but I like to see more photographs of interiors when I am looking for interior design blogs.

Apartment Therapy is another really popular interior design blog. I like a lot of their stuff, but I find that it's updated so often that it is hard to find what I am looking for. There are some great do it yourself projects on this site.
