Top 10 Karaoke Songs

SN
Like it or not Karaoke is here to stay. At some point in time we all have belted out our favorites tunes, scurrying along hopelessly to keep up with the closed caption. Karaoke might have been stereo typed as an Oriental craze, but it has hit the home shores...hard. Everyone loves karaoke; the number of drinks that get you on a roll however are subjective. After a couple of drinks I can certainly conjure up the courage to come up in front of an unknown audience to sing songs even in the face of inadvertent humiliation.

Of course the genre of music and the langue that you choose may vary drastically. A successful and fun karaoke session is as much about the company as it is about the music. The choice of music for a karaoke session depends on the kind of audience. I prefer pop or rock songs, mostly the odlies or the top 40s. The rock anthems of the days gone by are sure to get any party started. The list I swear by follows:

1. Summer of 69: Bryan Adams

2. Top of the World: The Carpenters

3. A Whole New World: Peabo Bryson-Regina Belle

4. Summer Love: John Travolta-Olivia Newton John

5. What a Wonderful World: Louie Armstrong

6. I Can See Clearly Now: Johnny Nash

7. Girls just wanna have fun: Cindy Lauper

8. Livin on a prayer: Bon Jovi

9. YMCA: The Village People

10. I've had the time of my life: Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes

The songs are in no particular order.
