Top 10 Kid Rock Songs

April Nelson
10. Black Chick, White Guy

Nobody, and I mean nobody, does the autobiographical song better than Kid Rock. In this song he tells us about his struggle not only with a mixed-race relationship, but also with being a single father.

9. All Summer Long

C'mon, we've all been misty-eyed a time or two over our bygone days, and the one that got away.

8. My Oedipus Complex

He uses the word Oedipus. 'Nuff said.

7. I'm Wrong But You Ain't Right

In one fell swoop, the Kid not only manages to be at his in-your-face best, but also to thumb his nose at the establishment that blames everything on the media.

6. What I Learned Out On The Road

We get to follow along with Kid on his journey to the top, and realize that it wasn't always strippers and steaks.

5. Half Your Age

Hey, it never pays to piss off a songwriter, as Kid proves in this not so tongue-in-cheek ode to former flame Pamela Anderson.

4. Cocky

After the success of his first album, many had written Kid off as a one-hit wonder. But, as the song says, he's back, and he proved it.

3. Amen

Society is going to hell in a hand basket and nobody points that out better than the Kid.

2. Cowboy

This is the one that first got our attention, and made us laugh while we rocked to the beat.

1. American Badass

An American anthem, to be sure. After the USS Cole was bombed, they played this song as the crippled ship was heading out of port. If there's a better way to say "In your face" I haven't heard of it.

I agree with your songs, but I would have to put All Summer Long closer to the top. I love that song (and Kid Rock).
