1. VMA Awards 2009

While onlookers expected something interesting to happen during Lady Gaga's performance, I highly doubt they expected blood to trickle down her face at the end of "Paparazzi". The shock and awe that followed Lady Gaga's performance will most likely not dissipate any time soon. Although extremely weird, Lady Gaga's performance was a hit at the VMA Awards.

2. SNL Make-Out Session with Madonna

Some of us already saw this coming, but it was still one of Lady Gaga's top moments nonetheless. The Queen of Pop and the new Shock of Pop in a compromising situation on Saturday Night live made the headlines. Madonna poked fun at herself while Lady Gaga poked fun at her bi-sexuality.

3. National Equality March in Washington, D.C.

President Barack Obama joked that he had finally arrived because of his chance to introduce Lady Gaga at the March on Washington rally. When the current President of the United States says that he feels honored to introduce you, you know you've made it.

4. Advocate Magazine Interview

She shouted "Boys, Boys, Boys" from the rooftop and sang a song about riding on a disco stick. Not surprisingly, fans were jolted to attention when Lady Gaga made an off-handed remark to The Advocate about being gay and writing "Poker Face" about her bi-sexuality. She gained a lot of fans in the gay community for this move.

5. Introduction of the Disco Stick

With words like, "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick", who wouldn't be intrigued? Mouths dropped open and heads turned when "Love Game" hit the airwaves. This catchy track was accompanied by an equally amusing music video that further stirred the Lady Gaga pot.

6. Exploding Firecrackers from Bra

Whoever thought lighting your bra on fire in front of thousands of people was a good idea should be sued. Oh, wait, that was Lady Gaga. That's right. Lady Gaga chose to share her exploding bra with thousands of lucky fans during the Toronto MuchMusic Video Awards. While some reports claim that she stole the show with that performance, I disagree. What she did do, however, was waste a perfectly good bra.

7. Kanye West Tour

Lady Gaga deciding to tour with Kanye West was like mixing hand sanitizer with vodka. You know that it's bad for your health, will probably kill you (or your career) and makes absolutely no sense. The Kanye West/Lady Gaga tour was ultimately canceled before it even took off the ground.

8. Hermaphrodite Rumor

One of the most outrageous rumors to date involves Lady Gaga being a hermaphrodite. In April of 2009, YouTube claimed to have proof of Lady Gaga's secret and multiple websites, radio stations and news outlets carried the story. The story ended up being false.

9. Heartbeats by Lady Gaga

Would you wear something because Lady Gaga asked you to? I didn't think so. Lady Gaga's "Heartbeats" are the newest accessories from Hollywood to hit the world marketplace. These designer ear buds were created in trademark Lady Gaga fashion. They come with a sideways glance and a "remember the firecracker in the bra?" warning.

10. The Bubbles

Anyone who can wear bubbles, walk across the stage and not cringe in wonderment deserves mention in my book. At the same time, it was not the highlight of Lady Gaga's career and had people wondering if something had been accidentally slipped into her coffee that morning. Strange, strange woman.
