Top 10 LED-LCD TVs Under $2,000: Vizio, Sony, Panasonic, LG, Samsung, Sharp and Others

JC Torpey
The most important thing about a top 10 list is that it offers real choice. The top 10 LED-LCD TVs under $2,000 is an important subject with media, convergence, and the Internet all becoming a factor in the market. HDTV is the future and everyone is looking for a bargain entry door, without sacrificing quality or performance. More information on all these LCD TV winners and current prices are available on Yahoo Shopping.

Samsung PN58C6500 Plasma TV

Size is pretty much everything here. With price being a central issue, the value with this Samsung is outstanding. It is a 58-inch LCD TV renowned for its picture quality. It is HDCP ready and offers USB, HDMI and VGA ports, but the meat is in the image quality as well as the price. Available from $1,699 and up, this is bargain hunters dream.

Samsung PN58C7000 58-inch 3D Plasma TV

The reasons for this model from Samsung being on the list are pretty much the same as above, its price to value ratio. Its screen size and picture quality are also notable. However, this model adds an Ethernet port alongside its USB, HDMI and VGA ports for additional connectivity options. The Samsung 58 inch 3D starts at $1,779.

Panasonic TC-P65S2 Plasma TV

Since size is s big issue for the first two TVs on the list, this one is also a great pick This is a 65 inch Plasma TV with all the latest features and ports with the exception of the Ethernet connection. The real draw is that anyone who wants one of these can find one starting at $1874, depending on the retailer selected. Any 65-inch diagonal television is a great pick, and considering it is under $2,000, it beats out any other television with better features simply because of its size as big screen TVs are difficult to come by so cheaply.

Sharp AQUOS LC-60E88UN

Sharp has been touting its AQUOS technology for quite some time, and now buyers can have one at a bargain. This is another big screen television and at 60-inches diagonal with an astounding 240 Hz refresh rate, as compared to the standard refresh rate of 60, Hz its image quality is top of the line. This Sharp AQUOS starts at $1,649 and up and while it is not the largest "big screen" LCD TV, the image quality is certainly worth it.

Sony BRAVIA KDL-55EX500

With an automatic brightness adjustment for any ambient room light, the technology driving this Sony BRAVIA makes the 55 inch screen seem all that much larger. The BRAVIA also sports a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is again much better than the standard of 60 Hz. Its advanced motion performance for smooth motion translation makes it worth the cheaper prices starting at $1,298. It will attract not only bargain hunters but "videophiles" as well.

VIZIO's Razor LCD M550NV

This is the "Feature hound" of the list. It comes with built-in Internet apps, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11n, and a customized Bluetooth universal remote that sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Add to that loads of ports and options and its 55-inch LCD screen makes its $1,299 starting price tag a killer combination. Social networking and football combined, who knew?

LG Electronics INFINIA 60PK750 60" Plasma TV

Ethernet ready and Wi-Fi included sets the tone for this contender. With 60 bright, plasma inches and all the latest features, which include wireless, 1080p video, and NetCast Entertainment access ready means consumers get the latest technology and great quality for excellent value. LG has a reputation for consumer electronics quality and the INGINIA is no different. Its prices start at $1,494.

Haier HL55XZK22

Haier is a newer name on the market, but it is an impressive buy. The 55-inch LCD TV screen running at 120 Hz refresh rate, again much better than the typical 60 Hz, offers a sharp, smooth image, making this TV worthy of any list. Haier focused on hardware quality and features with this one and considering it sports 4 HDMI ports, VGA, and a headphone jack, it is a great contender for its starting price of $1,269.

Mitsubishi LT-55154

The picture quality of this 55 inch LCD TV is great but its fame is its sound. With 12 built-in speakers on the bottom front of the TV and Mitsubishi's innovative Immersive Sound Technology the sound quality is way beyond the expected price range of $1499 to $2000. Imagine concert quality 5.1 sound with extra speakers. This will be the neighbors favorite.

Vizio TruLED VF552XVT 55" Wi-Fi LED TV

The title says almost all that is needed to say to put this Vizio offering on the top ten list. Nevertheless, this Vizio comes ready to update Facebook or Twitter accounts right on its screen with the Bluetooth remote's slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Consumers can also shop via the Amazon widgets, fetch movies from Netflix, or play their Rhapsody favorites. Its price ranges from $1,299 to $1,595 and feature-wise, the Vizio might just be the best of the best.

A great review, but I can't imagine spending that kind of money on a TV, when good LED/LCD HDTVs from top-mane brands can be had for half the price or less.
