8. Two is better than one. Boys like Girls featuring Taylor Swift Love Drunk. The Boston band grabbed onto country's girl of the year Taylor Swift to star in this song written by vocalist and guitar player Martin Johnson.

6. Replay. Iyaz. The Britney Spear's ex J.R. Rotem produced song falls into a new category of music considered "Island pop". Billboard called the upbeat love song "A light and catchy tune with a soaring hook". Iyaz is originally from the Virgin British Island. (Lipshutz, 2009).
5. Say Hey (I Love you). Michael Franti and Spearhead, All Rebel Rockers. The album was written in Rio De Janiero, Brazil, while Franti was on the streetside husking solo with just his vocals and a guitar. Franti claims that the only phrase the children and locals understood in English was "I love you" so he continually repeated it in the reggae/rap love song. The album was produced in Jamaica with producers Sly and Robbie, who have worked with No doubt, Alicia Keys, and Sean Paul. The video for the song recreated the writing process and was taped in Rio.
4. One Time. Justin Bieber. Bieber's first studio album was produced by Usher, Scott "Scooter" Braun and industry heavyweight Antonio "L.A." Reid and Usher even making a cameo in the video for One Time. The Oakland Tribune called the single "bouncy, bubble gum, puppy love material tweens have been buying for decades" (Bream, 2009).
The song is a pronouncement of puppy love and was written by Chris "sticky" Stewart and Terius "the-Dream" Nash, who are the authors of Rhianna's mega-hit "Umbrella" and Beyonce's single "Single Ladies (Put a ring on it)". (Krewen, 2009).
3. Sweet Dreams. Beyonce. I am...Sasha Fierce. The single was co-written by Beyonce with James Scheffer, Rico Love, and Wayne Wilkins, one of the UK's top producer/songwriters. Wilkins also co-produced the song and is known for other top hits such as Leona Lewis's "Take a Bow" and Cheryl Cole's "Fight for this love". He is a classically trained pianist. (Williams, 2009).
2. Fallin for you. Colbie Caillat, Breakthrough. On her sophomore album, the MySpace star co-wrote this song with American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi. Her father was a sound engineer who has worked for bands like Fleetwood Mac, also had a role in her career and the songs sound. The song was rated as the #9 healthiest relationship songs according to the Boston Public Health Commissions overview on top hits and their lyrics. 1. You Belong to me. Taylor Swift, Fearless. Released technically in 2008 (November 11, 2008) this country/pop song got enormous amount of playtime in 2009 at stayed on the Billboard 100 chat nearly for half the year, peaking at number 2 on the list. The video for the song, which stared Swift, won "best female video of the year" and the 2009 VMA's and was even nominated for a Grammy as the song of the year.
