10 OUTLAWS
This is, in my opinion, one of Lucas Arts' most under appreciated games. The storyline was great, the score was awesome (not synthesized, but with an actual orchestra), and the cut scenes we beautiful. You'd feel like you were actually watching an animated movie.
9 LEGO INDIANA JONES
If you're like me, you grew up wanting to be an archeologist. Of course my dreams were gashed when I discovered you didn't travel the world, shooting nazi's and running from giant boulders. Because of this I love anything to do with Indy, and this game is pure fun.
8 ROGUE SQUADRON
I threw this one in at number eight because I generally just enjoyed this game. There was enough stuff to unlock to keep me busy for a while, flying the assortment of ships was always fun, and because I had the PC version (I don't know if this was available for the Nintendo 64) but flying that Naboo Star fighter was beyond amazing.
7 LEG STAR WARS: THE COMPLETE SAGA
Like the Lego Indiana Jones, I just had to include this in my list. I don't know about anyone else, but growing up I always thought "you know, I wish they made Star Wars Lego's" because building a Millennium Falcon out of my castle set just never worked. And with this game, well it's nice to have a game that you don't get frustrated at. After all, you can't even die!
6 BATTLEFRONT
A Star Wars fan's dream. Playing any side of several great battles and taking over planets. Who could ask for more? Well, maybe play as a Jedi? That's coming up.
5 THE CURSE OF MONKEY ISLAND
I have always loved this series, but I had to give the nod to "Curse" (number three in the series) as my favorite. The voice acting is some of the best I've heard in a video game, and the jokes just keep coming at you. As long as you don't cheat and look up the walk through, this game can take some time to beat, which I always like.
4 JEDI KNIGHT: DARK FORCES II
One of my all time favorite games, I still remember receiving a demo for it in the mail. I was instantly hooked. And the fact that my actions determined whether I would become a good or bad jedi made it that much better. Despite my love of striking down helpless droids and pedestrians, I had to stay 'pure of heart' because I just couldn't beat the game as a dark jedi.
3 BATTLE FRONT II
If the first one wasn't good enough, now I could not only play as Jango Fett or Darth Maul, but I could pilot my battle ship inside the cargo hold of my enemies and wage war from within their own star cruiser.
2 DARK FORCES
One of the greatest first person shooters ever created. It had a solid story line with characters you actually liked. Playing Kyle Katarn as another Han Solo type was sweet, not to mention gunning down Boba Fett and the infamous Dark Trooper. I still like to drop it in the old computer drive and take a stroll down memory lane.
1 GRIM FANDANGO
I know a lot of people might disagree with me on this one (that's fine). I have always loved this game. I would say I still play this game once a year, if only to hear the fantastic voice acting (possibly the best ever...and yest, I'd say better than Monkey Island). In addition, the music is fantastic. I actually have the CD and still listen to it in my car. Of course these are just smaller aspects of the game. The overall story line is brilliant. I think it's even more relevant in the times we live in now days than when it was made.
Well, that's my list. What do you think? Is it anything like what your top 10 is?
