The four albums released in the 1980's were Kill 'Em All (1983), Ride the Lightning (1984), Master of Puppets (1986), and ...And Justice for All (1988).
Here are my ten favorite Metallica songs that were released in the 1980's.
10. Whiplash comes from the album Kill 'Em All. It is one of their early songs and has more of a thrash or speed metal song. Whiplash is four minutes and six seconds long.
9. The Frayed Ends of Sanity comes from the album ...And Justice for All. The Frayed Ends of Sanity is seven minutes and forty seconds long.
8. Damage, Inc. comes from the album Master of Puppets. Damage, Inc. is five minutes and eight seconds long.
7. Seek & Destroy is also from the album Kill 'Em All. The opening guitar riffs had me hooked on the song as soon as I heard it. Seek & Destroy is six minutes and fifty seconds long.
6. Fade to Black is off of the album Ride the Lightning. Fade to Black is a song about suicide. Fade to Black is six minutes and fifty-six seconds long.
5. Master of Puppets comes from the album Master of Puppets. Master of Puppets is eight minutes and thirty-eight seconds long.
