Who's the Man at 160 lbs?

WriterzBlock
#1 Jermain Taylor
(25-0-1 17KOs)
WBC/WBO Middleweight champion.
Last fight: June 17, 2006; draw with Winky Wright.

He struggled against Winky Wright to no surprise but hung in the fight and managed to retain his titles by a draw. Nevertheless, he's a good fighter with solid pedigree and will improve more as time goes on.

#2 Winky Wright
(50-3 25KOs)
Last fight: June 17, 2006; draw with Jermain Taylor.

The draw against Jermain Taylor shocked his fans across the world. After negotiations for a rematch in December fell through he signed on to meet Ike Quartey in Tampa, Florida sometime in early December.

#3 Arthur Abraham
(22-0 17KOs)
IBF Middleweight champion
Last fight: September 23, 2006

Abraham recently dished out a gutsy 12 round decision over Edison Miranda to retain his IBF middleweight title. Despite his broken jaw in the fourth, Abraham scraped together judge scores of 114-109, 115-109, and 116-109. After a performance like this he deserves a ranking below Taylor and Wright.

#4 Edison Miranda
(26-1 23KOs)
Last fight: September 23, 2006

The power punching Miranda broke Abraham's jaw during their contest, but wasn't able to capture the IBF title.

#5 Javier Castillejo
(61-6 41KOs)
WBA Middleweight champion
Last fight: July 15, 2006

Castillejo's recent victory over Sturm was sensational. Not only did he defeat a top-notch fighter in Felix Sturm, he also added the WBA middleweight title in his collection. Their rematch is highly anticipated.

#6 Felix Sturm
(25-2 11KOs)
Last fight: July 15, 2006.

His second loss since his 2004 controversial decision against Oscar De La Hoya. He was recently stopped in his efforts to retain his WBA middleweight title against Javier Castillejo back in July. Its speculated that both Castillejo and Sturm may meet up sometime in the near future for a rematch.

#7 Sam Soliman
(32-8 13KOs)
Last fight: March 3, 2006

Recent injuries have sidelined King Soliman, but hopefully we can seen him back in the ring by the end of this year.

#8 Sergio Mora
(19-0 4KOs)
Last fight: August 25, 2006

His name surely is developing well, an undefeated East L.A. native who is featured on NBC's 'The contender' series. If he continues to rack victories there's no telling where he'll be in the next year or two.

#9 Raymond Joval
(35-4 16KOs)
Last fight: November 27, 2005

Hasn't fought in almost year due to injuries. He's back in the gym and hoping to be in the ring by the end of this year.

#10 Kingsley Ikeke
(23-2 13KOs)
Last fight: December 10, 2005

Since his release from Golden Boy and lost to Abraham, its uncertain when exactly Ikeke will be back in the division.
